On the bright side beating a team by one or one hundred has the same effect on the win loses count.

Also a nice way to see what jv has.

Right now i would rather biyombos rebounding and defense rather than JV offense.

I think there is a good chance for a game seven. But since it would be in Cleveland they get the edge.

But the score is decieving...... Irving and love went off and the r aptors had a ton of turnovers and poor rebounding.

Lowry and derozan rely on jump shots and getting foul calls. It is a tough way to score points in a play off series where calls are made based on reputation.

Our spot up three point shooters are not as good. I mean Carroll and Patterson are just not thst reliable..

Ross is just too streaky.

I don't think the team is phased by playing LeBron or being blown out.

Collective on court farts happen.

Casey had the right idea playing Biz and JV together. I don't expect the Raps to lose Game 6.

The Raptors need to get a legitimate power forward, either through a trade or the draft.

I looked at a list of free agents most of them are past their prime.... big names to me are Al Horford, Pau Gasol, Dirk Nowitzki, David West.

But there are some young guys too I just don't know them very well as they play on teams I rarely if ever see like say Jared Sullinger.

But I agree that it is our weakest position.

Poor defense, hard to watch, very disappointing!

Defense is the key that has guided Raptors this far. By all it means, the Offensive strategy Raptors will have disadvantage any where. I would love to see one more time of one of the best defense NBA team defend one of the best player again. Raptors have to find a way to limit the Cavaliers score inside 100(limit the 3 points shots) whether is on the road or at home that's the only way will succeed. Not easy...

Let's go, Raptors!

No question, that is the weakest link, Ryan Anderson (28 yrs.) of the Pelicans is available, but he will be looking for big bucks, and if the Raps bring Biyombo and DeRozan back money is probably not there.
Think they have to package draft pick(s) with a youngster and maybe Ross for a guy. Masai has his work cutout for him this off season especially if DeRozan jumps ship!

As a former Detroit Pistons fan, that's why I've been saying that comparing to the current Raps to the 04 Pistons is inaccurate. The Pistons had Sheed who could score from almost anywhere - when not picking up technicals.

You guys need to see the big picture. How could they lose so badly in Cleveland but win in Toronto? It's like they're not trying to win in Clevelnad. Dwayne Casey knows they have to win in Cleveland just once. They could bust their asses first 3 games in Cleveland and lose all 3, and face a fired up, worried Cavs team in game 7. Or they can throw the first 3 games in Cleveland, win the 3 home games and then drop the bomb on an overconfident Cleveland team in game 7. IT'S THE ONLY CHANCE THEY HAVE HAD SINCE GAME 1 !!!!!!
Brilliant of Casey to set it up. Raptors in 7.

My thoughts too

Raptors came in tired and hurt

Why bust your butt losing? and get more tired and hurt

Cannot make it obvious or league will get involved

only chance is win in Toronto then win game 7

None of the pundits see this as a possibility they just say it cannot be explained when the explanation is in your face

All players have to be on board

Is there some kind of by law against blowing a game?

IT would be a very ballsy move to throw three road games. I mean were the Raptors that confident that they could beat them twice at home?

Sorry but they knew they needed to steal one game on the road. Why wait till the 7th which may not occur?

But I do agree that perhaps as game 5 looked out of reach, Casey took the opportunity to rest the core guys.

What do you guys make of the story of Carroll and Joseph at the casino at 2 am the night before game 5?

My first question would be were they drunk and how much time did they have to get sleep before the night game? If they were partying responsibly and got enough sleep then I am fine with it.

Although, I personally think that the night before the game they shouldn't be out that late. But strictly on my own code and not for any law.

They were injured and too tired in first two games. Cleveland was not. As for last night, maybe once Cleveland got a good lead decision to tank was made which made the score ridiculous but I am OK with that as they gave up for strategic reasons which is smart. It gave Valanciunas a chance to get his legs back and gear up for home game as well as rest team. He may be the key

Is there a team rule? Should be. Players can do some irresponsible things with their big egos. As for game 7, Raptors are a good road team and if they were tanking it should make game 7 interesting, if there is one. Cleveland does not want to go to game 7 in a serious way. But WTF do I know. I never knew what a reach in foul was until last night.

Just learning about basketball.

Question

The player in position first owns that space. So, if I am guarding a smaller man and his back is towards me and he is in a crouch with the ball. I stick my long arms over his body and he rises from the crouch and touches my arms has he fouled or does he own the airspace above him?

I am not sure if there is a team rule.

On the radio I heard the Raptors organization wanted the names released. Not sure why. To be honest I picked up bits hwere and there on the radio today so, the truth maybe further away?

Not sure if there are team rules. I mean Jordan was notorious for being out late and it's even rumoured that the game where he had flu like symptoms was a hang over.

I doubt any ref would call that. Now if the guy gets the ball and bumps you and knocks you over, that might be an offensive foul. Similarly if by leaning over you I knock you down I would get a defensive foul.

Notice I used the word might, the ref uses their judgement did one person's actions create an unfair advantage via a physical means? So that could be shoving, slapping at the ball but hitting the arms instead etc.

But if I set my feet and you run into me with the ball. That's an offensive foul, or more specifically a charge. But if my feet were still moving then I get called for a blocking foul.

Kyle Lowry does a good job of getting in position and planting his feet to draw charges. But it is a risky play as the ref might call him for blocking. That's why you don't see him do it as much in the play offs. Especially since the refs decide based on reputation. So in a close call Lebron is getting that call.

Some bumping and contact is allowed. For example, I catch the ball with my back to you. I can dribble and back into you without getting a call unless I bowl you over. Some guys will get sneaky, you are backing me down..... I put my forearm out as something for you to lean against. Then I quickly pull my arm away from you causing you to stumble. Not a foul as it's not my fault as you were leaning on me.

I am by no means a qualified ref. This is based on years of watching on TV which can be deceiving because the rules and what is called in practice are two different things.

If I am an owner of a SC,I would offer free table dances to any Clev players who like to stay out pass midnight tonight before Gm6! The more Cavs players out late the better chance for us to win tomorrow...lol!

LOL let's send them some edibles from the pot dispensaries. That should slow them down!

Better yet can someone put something illegal in Lebron's suitcase before he goes through security and customs?

Maybe Tonya Harding's ex boyfriend could pay the Cavs a visit with a baton.

Carroll needs to have his best game of the series tonight after all that garbage about casino-gate. So far, LB has outplayed Carroll as he tried to defend the superstar. Last year in Atlanta Carroll claimed his knees for not having a good series against LB. This year,he thinks that his elbow is barking at him!
On hindsight the new contract with Carroll might not work out as well as Masai envisioned. You win some and you lose some I guess.
