Carroll needs to have his best game of the series tonight after all that garbage about casino-gate. So far, LB has outplayed Carroll as he tried to defend the superstar. Last year in Atlanta Carroll claimed his knees for not having a good series against LB. This year,he thinks that his elbow is barking at him!
On hindsight the new contract with Carroll might not work out as well as Masai envisioned. You win some and you lose some I guess.
Carroll is not bad. Remember he is guarding one of the best if not best player in the league. Not to mention close calls go LeBron s way.

This guy is a decent role player and i argue he is better than jyd.

Raps lose but wow in reflection this team did a lot of an amazing things ... My biggest cheer goes to the fans ... Wow they cheered to the end ..

Oh by the way Lowry laid it all on the line but it was just enough .. This Cavs team had all weapons firing and they are dangerous ..

Well it has been a fun season. Lots of good things to build on.

I like kyle and Demar but they need a better supporting cast on offence. Need a couple of guys who are reliable when asked to hit open shots.

Jv and biyombo are good centers.

It would be great to add a guy who is respected and gets calls.

We didnt deserve to win tonight. Flat out the cavs big three almost best us on their own.

Our big two combined for a solid 55. The rest of the guys let us down. Too bad as in the past you never know who would step up.

I hope lebron loses in the finals.

Easy to give props when you win.

He is one of the best playser in the post Jordan era no doubt.

But i just don't like the way he carries himself. Flops, arguing with refs, calling out teammates, making a spectacle of his free agency, flexing and fronting like he is a tough guy. How he behaved when Lue first took over. How he questioned the definition of valuable when Curry won the MVP.

I'll concede this much, Clev would have likely beaten Toronto even if the games were called in an "ethical" manner, but the refs made sure that the Raptors had no chance of going to the final.

NBA is fortunate that Toronto fans don't behave anywhere close to how soccer fans do. I just can't imagine what a riot scene it would be if it happened in a soccer match in Europe or South America that these many biased calls were made against the home team in a vital match.

Correct, FC fans would have taken some of the chinzy calls with much more than a grain of salt.

Our inability to drain 3-point shots is what did us in. Eventually your front court players cannot grab enough rebounds to compensate. But I'm satisfied, what came after Game 3 was hollandaise sauce.

Well I feel for Cleveland Sports fans they are as a group how Leaf fans feel for last 49 years .... So what a story it would be if they win ....

You guys need to see the big picture. How could they lose so badly in Cleveland but win in Toronto? It's like they're not trying to win in Clevelnad. Dwayne Casey knows they have to win in Cleveland just once. They could bust their asses first 3 games in Cleveland and lose all 3, and face a fired up, worried Cavs team in game 7. Or they can throw the first 3 games in Cleveland, win the 3 home games and then drop the bomb on an overconfident Cleveland team in game 7. IT'S THE ONLY CHANCE THEY HAVE HAD SINCE GAME 1 !!!!!!
Brilliant of Casey to set it up. Raptors in 7.
Well.....that didn't work, what was plan B again?:sorry:

First of all.....congratulations to the 2016 Toronto Raptors! It was one hell of a year! For the most part they played well night in and night out, usually very entertaining. They won their division for the third consecutive year. They won the the first and second rounds of the playoffs, something not accomplished by any previous Raptor team. They did win two games in the conference championship before bowing out to the Cavs, a team that is paying a pile of money in luxury tax in order to have a team that MAY win it all. To me it was an awesome year and while winning it all would have been super, it also would have been very unexpected. Casey and Majuri have done a great job with the franchise, there will be changes in the off season to the make up of this team, that I expect will move the team up at least another notch. Looking forward to 2017!

I know I omitted accomplishments, feel free to embellish!:applause:

The truth is that the Raptors really were the "other" the only way they win a 7 game series against any of those teams is if they play perfect ball and that's not realistic. All of those other teams can have an off night and still win a series vs the Raptors.

To me this is the best Raptors team ever from management, coaching and roster but still missing that player to go from a very good team to great team.

Never worry, have no fear
LeBron James will soon be here.

If his post game praise for the Raps grit and the energy of the fans is anything to go by, he just might.

Do you really think he's going to leave Cleveland for Toronto? I have been looking at the free agent list from time to time and I admit that a guy like Lebron or Durant coming to Toronto would be huge but leaving your home state and what appears to be a better team seems unlikely.

Our Toronto Raptors, thanks for a great season with your team play and deserved success! :cheer2::applouse: super team achievements and continued individual growth. From end to end, it was a season where one felt we could win every game, and that level of excellence was carried through every contest. Yes, there will be some major brain activity in the next few weeks to assemble a better squad for next year but let's enjoy this year for a while! It's almost June and to be still this deep in convo about these guys is an awesome feeling. Let's be talking about ball in June next year..!!!:first::canada::clap2::closed_2:

Raps did exactly what the Jays did to Toronto sports fans last year. They gave the fans lots of fun following them in the playoffs. Sooner or later this city will become championship city (again!).
Thank you Raps for the good time in the last month or so.
Now,if we can pray for..Leafs to go to the post season...lol!

On a final note.

There is a problem that MLSE needs to tend to, there is no signage at Maple Leaf Square proclaiming Jurassic Park. To keep good faith with the fans this needs to be rectified, they have to get permission from Steven Spielberg to get this done. He's not a sports man, but he loves classical music and is a huge fan of Tafelmusik. They should arrange a private recital along with dinner at Massimo Capra's joint (Mistura is rated as Toronto's best Italian restaurant by Sagat). Spielberg is a sensible man, grease the wheels and get it done.

Jamie Foxx is in town shooting Sleepless.

Just learning about basketball.

Question

The player in position first owns that space. So, if I am guarding a smaller man and his back is towards me and he is in a crouch with the ball. I stick my long arms over his body and he rises from the crouch and touches my arms has he fouled or does he own the airspace above him?
Technically, you own the space as long as you don't hit any part of his body as he goes up for the shot. If he backs in to you, as he takes a shot, then it's a foul on him. It s called the principle of verticality.

This was a great year. It's been really special for those that still believed in this team after last year's debacle.

Lowry and DeRozan played their butts off last night, but didn't get any help. I can't blame Carroll, Joseph, and Patterson though. They spent every ounce of energy guarding the Cavs big guns.

This team is no fluke. They are armed with a lottery pick, and some good young players in Bebe, Powell, and Wright.

They were up-and-down in the playoffs, but you would expect that in a young team. We tend to forget that Valanciunas, Biyombo, Ross, Joseph, and Powell are under 25, and DeRozan is only 26.

Props to those at the ACC last night that didn't stop cheering even after the final buzzer. You guys impressed Lebron and alot of potential free agents.

Great season overall from the Raps, I think they maxed out considering their talent level, no shame in losing to the Cavs at all.

It was a rollercoaster ride this playoffs, frustrating and also great, especially the Game 7's at home.

By the way I was at Pure Spa and my girl said a Raptor was there on Thursday this week and also Saturday! She wouldn't tell me who it was though, LMAO. Probably Bruno or Bebe. Maybe Norman Powell.
