I wish Jon Snow just stayed dead. He is too "chosen one/Harry Potter esque" to me, clearly he is in GRRM's master plan and that gives him this indefensible plot armor. Tired of seeing him fight ice monsters, if I wanted to see shit like that I would tune in to the Walking Dead.

I definitely enjoyed watching the earlier seasons more, with the popularity the quality has fallen off a bit. Hated how humourous the Tyrion/dragons scene was, there was no real tension and felt like it was there to just give the audience a laugh. Even though the last time someone went to feed the dragons (Quentyn) he got his ass burned to ashes.

Shocking deaths can make a great episode, but you have to pay for it down the road. The Oberyn, Ned, Tywin, Robb, Stannis, Roose deaths all made huge impacts but also robbed the show of intriguing characters. Now the story has gotten much more predictable imo. Pretty sure Jon Snow, Daenarys, Cersei/Jaime aren't going to die anytime soon.
The thing is those earlier shocking deaths were all in the books. So the team was following George R.R Martin's storyline. So hopefully he is going somewhere with the mass deaths. Still love the show though.

And Ramsey officially surpassed Joffrey as the biggest prick on the show. Feeding a new born baby to dogs is just fucked up.
sorry, but when Stannis burned his own daughter alive he made Joffery look downright decent.

Its strange that they didn't show Stannis's death, every main that died on the show had a death scene but him. It cuts out as Brienne swings her sword..Maybe his life was spared in exchange for information or she doesn't kill without a fight.

D and D have stated that Stannis is dead. I think his head was separated from his body. GoT has been under a lot of criticism for its violence and rape, etc. (I don't have a problem with it, I figure if you don't want to see it, don't watch it.) There was a bloody big brew ba ha about the rape of Sansa (which was not shown but you know what's happening....)

Get ready for a huge turn in the way this story is being told...

I'm thinking Jon Snow will leave the nights Watch. He has fullfilled his vows:

"Night gathers, and now my watch begins. It shall not end until my death. I shall take no wife, hold no lands, father no children. I shall wear no crowns and win no glory. I shall live and die at my post. I am the sword in the darkness. I am the watcher on the walls. I am the shield that guards the realms of men. I pledge my life and honor to the Night's Watch, for this night and all the nights to come."

He has died at his post at the hands of the traitors, and is now free to seek his higher glory.

I believe he is Targaryen, and will eventually assume the role of protector of the realm in alliance with Daenerys. But first he will round up his step brother (Bran, and whatever happened to Rickon???) and sisters (Sansa and Arya), perhaps to aid in this quest.

I agree.

I think he will leave the night's watch, or maybe the whole night's watch thing just ends. Last episode, they were overwhelmed by Tormund Giantsbane and the wildlings without much of a fight. Maybe the Wildlings are in charge of the wall now. Either way, Jon's Castle Black and the Wall days have to be done.

As to whether he is a Targaryen or not, definitely maybe.

That's one of the things, that makes it such a good show. Ollie betrayed Jon snow, but Ollie's family was butchered by Jon's new friends. So Ollie felt he was doing the right thing by his family. The kid couldn't see the bigger picture, because he was blinded by vengeance. We love Jon Snow so much, because we know he is true and good.

Yes that little bastard had to go, plus he killed Jon's girlfriend.

i would have preferred that fat annoying fuck Sam and his simpleton girlfriend to have taken Ollie and the tall old guy's places at the hanging instead.

don't know why they give so much air time to sam. most boring storyline and character ever. kill him off already!

rather disappointed in this season's episodes so far, too predictable and such a slow pace. if it wasn't for the bran and max arc giving us some insight into the stark family rise to power i might actually stop watching the show...

The show can't be all battle and action scenes, plus they need to resolve story arcs and build up storylines for this season.

What I miss is the political intrigue, double crosses, betrayal, plotting, etc at the hands of the Lannisters and Baratheons, and Starks; all of whom have been negatively impacted by war and the loss of key family members. Even Jaime Lannister, though not dead, is missing his sword hand and arguably, with that loss, he has lost his bravado. Jaime and Cersi came into the small council meeting with the animatronic mountain at their side with the intention of pushing their way into the meeting and taking over, however, the result was that everyone else simply stood up and left the meeting, leaving them on their own. For all the difference it made, they might not as well have come to the meeting. They were basically told without it being said, "you are powerless over us now and you're not welcome. So have your meeting (which would be altogether useless) yourselves". Imagine if Tywin was still alive and he came into that meeting with Jaime and or Cersi by his side. Never in a million years would everyone else at the table gotten up and left the room. Never. And for that matter, Tywin would have never brought a creature like the Mountain into that meeting in such an obviously threatening manner. Tywin was way too refined and shrewd for such a crude display.

Likewise, the boy-king Tomen has proven yet again that he is impotent against the Faith Militant. He confronts the High Sparrow only to be easily out played by the highly intelligent and sly old priest. Tomen, frustrated that he's not getting what he wants, resorts to, "I AM THE KING" just like Jeoffrey did a couple of seasons in ago in front of Tywind to which Tywin correctly responded "any man who has to say "I am the King" is not a King". Tomen is too young and too naïve and has been too protected all his life to out manoeuvre the High Sparrow. The old guy talks to him in a grandfatherly way and actually gets Tomen to sit down while he starts to tell Tomen fables which Tomen, like most school age boys readily surrenders to. All too easy. Tomen is going to have be a lot more cunning if he has any hope of taking out the Faith Militant. I don't see Tomen becoming a wise and powerful king any time soon, and most likely, not ever.

At the end of the day, the Lannisters, the Starks, the Baratheons have all been devastated by the war. Each of the one time major families has been gutted through the loss of the key people. Jon Snow may have been resurrected, but everyone else is very dead and they are not coming back. But with loss comes opportunity for others though and it definitely remains to be seen who or what will fill the vacuum.

Looks like we are going to see Cersei's trial, by combat. Can't wait to see who represents the Faith.

Not so sure about that. Based on the teasers, I think the Faith Militant come to collect Cersi for her trial "tell your man to step aside or there will be violence" to which Cersi responds, "I choose violence"

In other words, she doesn't recognize the authority of the clergy over her and she's not going anywhere.

Its insane to see the High Sparrow still alive after what they did to Cersi and taking the queen prisoner who is practically innocent.Tomen needs to grow some balls or he will lose control of everything. Anyone who even reaches out to touch a queen should lose their hand instantly.

Yes, the king needs to grow some balls, I was hoping that when he and the sparrow sat down, he was going to pull out a knife and stab him. but he just pussied out again.

I'm going mainly with the rumour of the return of a certain character and theories from the books. I really don't see the point of that character coming back if it wasn't for the trial. Trailers are not always what they put them out to be.

Tommen is soft, not as vicious and blood thirsty like his brother, I doubt this happens with Joffrey as King.

It would be the equivalent of killing the Pope. Never mind his legion of thugs. The uprising of the population would destroy the city, and every Lannister in it.

The High Sparrow needs to be discredited first. Then he can be killed.

The series is called Song of Ice and Fire. To my mind, Jon Snow is Ice. Danerys is Fire.

I agree with both Tyrion and Jon Snow having been fathered by a Targaryean. The books, pardon the pun, plant plenty of seeds to support this.
Ned haunted by his sister's dying words... "promise me.." Ned failing to speak of the rape and her son's bloodline to honor his sister's dying words.
and Tyrion's father point blank telling him "You're not my son". Even Tyrion saying to Jon, "All dwarfs are bastards in their father's eyes".

It would be fitting to see each of them riding dragons in the last battle.

True. But the book could also follow the show's decline in quality (assuming he finishes the series anytime soon). I liked A Feast For Crows but not nearly as much as the previous books.
