Quite a few new handles out there asking a lot of question. There replying to each others comments no reviews trying to building post counts to get some cred and drum up interest.

One newer sp other looks to have many handles. She starts off with good reviews then gets a bad one. One of the only people supporting her seems the same vocab as her. It might be a coincidence but the review peaked my interest so I decide to check out her twitter account only to see her using the same words in multiple tweets used in the same context that the guy used in anger to support this sp in the bad review thread. Then in another thread another handle expressing the same feelings using the same words in the same context. The sps handle and the two others started months aparts. The sps be the first one to be opened.

Whats the deal am I smoking to much bud or Do others see this shit to?

I think we need to be vigilant of shill reviews and expose them.

"Has anyone seen ...?" threads are a nuisance, especially board members whose entire posting history is nothing but.

I have no problems with lurking but if you're going to contribute, make it actual reviews instead of constantly posting ISO threads.

The worse ones are where a bunch of undecideds essentially dare each other to TOFTT like a bunch of scared little kids daring each other to go into the neighborhood's supposedly haunted house. Or the one where the OP bumps their own thread a few days, hell a few hours, later asking, "Anyone?"

IMO, if an "Has anyone seen ...?" thread has more than six responses and no useful information, it should be locked. If an OP bumps their own thread, same thing; lock it!

Aww geeze...I've done that! I can be overzealous. I'll scale it back and be more mindful of things like that. I don't want to come off as disingenuous. Thank you for the helpful comment!!!

I think that's OK Parker, as far as the list of review offenses go...being the first to respond to a review of yourself is the jaywalking of reviews. The outright fake reviews, the shill reviews, the guys who only post "has anyone seen?" without every posting their own reviews, the useless reviews (e.g., "she's terrible avoid her" or "she's awesome gunna repeat" without any reasoning behind it), are much, much more problematic than an honest review responded to by the lady. So keep it up. p.s. yer still awesome lol...keep posting!
P.S.S. speaking of awesome lily replied before I finished and i would concur w her as well.
P.S.S.S. - jeez the awesomeness continues w Chloe right after this...but these ladies are correct

What's wrong with this? I mean is there a rule saying we have to wait until somebody else responds or comments? I think that's a little too paranoid.

So close and yet so far.
I pay more attention to reviews when the SP thanks the OP. For me it "confirms" the review to be true and I give it more credence. Well, trueish anyway. I don't care if she's the second or eighteenth reply.

+1

I would be more skeptical if the second post was the complete opposite point of view of the OP....
My spideysense immediately goes on high alert..until I see some more opinions

I have a problem with the SP's who search out every thread that they were mentioned in months after the fact to say 'Thanks'. Seems like an obvious attempt at self-promotion.

I think I am OK with this Frank...yes, i think you're correct as to the motive a good chunk of the time, but it is better than other faux attempts to do so. At least there is a legitimate reason for them to respond. I think if I was in their shoes I'd probably do it too. This is a tough business and this represents a classier way to stay on the radar.

SPs are here to promote themselves. This practice is completely inline with their presence here. It makes no sense to object to it.

Your right it is a little paranoid but when there so much bullshit out there that you have to weed through anything thats makes me think twice makes my decision easier.
