So the thread about hobbyists providing private information got me thinking as to how many of you hobbyists would be willing to provide any private information to book an independent SP for the first time that you have never met?

Information such as:

- Social media accounts linked to real name
- Send a copy of valid ID
- Working status verification (Employment or company information and a way to verify)
- LinkedIn information to your real name

I know I would never provide any of the above information myself just wonder what the percentage of hobbyists is that would be willing to provide such personal information?

Everyone has different screening methods. I don't ask those things. Too personal, lots of them has wife, family...etc. I don't care who is Bill in the real life.. I believe speaking through the phone. I have a few questions then. I need to hear the man voice or tone and I made decision then. I don't booking through emails or text only. I think personal chit-chat is the best screening process. I don't think any girls in this business has unbreakable email or server. Big company as Ashley Madison hacked, a simple email can't be the problem and those nice clients all personal data will be land in a criminal hands. Those are just too sensitive information. Sorry I know the girls safety is important but the clients private life too. Otherwise just because I know the client real name or workplace it doesn't stop him to do something bad or kill me if he wants to. Lots of psychopath has a very good job and many of them are CEO of big companies. I never give my real name or facebook or any other social media accounts to my clients and I never asked theirs.
And I truly believe give those data while you break the C-36, is the stupidest thing you can ever do. It's my opinion, you don't have to agree with it.

I don't ask for any of these things. I think that's a bit much. There has to be a balance between safety procedures and discretion for the client.

My favorite go-to is just meeting for coffee beforehand and getting to know each other. Just because I've seen a driver's licence or know your legal name, doesn't mean I'm any safer. Are there SPs who ask for this kind of information? I'd be curious to find out what the reasoning behind it would be.

You should probably delete this poll and repost a non-biased approach instead. Your question, copied and pasted, is as follows: "how many of you hobbyists would be willing to provide private information to book an independent SP for the first time that you have never met?"

Your poll options should therefore be:
"Yes" or
"No"

Not, [paraphrased],
"Something including real personal information" or
"Something including real personal information" or
"Something including real personal information" or
"Something including real personal information"

A stern none of the above from this hobbyist, and for good reason. I have no issue with screening as long as no "real-life" info is asked of me. I will and have freely offered my Terb handle, my hobby email address, my hobby phone number and some references but that is where it ends.

Not being biased in the approach, the reason I didn't post a yes or no poll is because I wanted to see who would feel comfortable providing any, all, some or none of the private information asked for. And I just added the word Any to the poll.

As an sp I believe in Canada it's okay to ask for references or a review board handle. It's my understanding that the policy of asking for id, or address, employment info, full legal name etc came from the US where ladies are at risk of being arrested by a law enforcement officer posing as a client, in Canada sp's do not have that risk, and most of the risk of not screening is a bad or violent client. Realistically a client could see one lady, treat her well so he has a reference then cause harm to another escort.

Again I'm not telling anyone how to screen or run their business, but to me it doesn't make sense to ask for the information that US ladies require simply because as providers we do not face the risk of arrest which is the main reason why they started asking for that info in the states.

Kudos to you Iris I respect your POV as an SP and the fact that you put as much emphasis on your client's private information not being inquired as you do your own and would expect hobbyist to respect yours.

I don't ask for any of this info either.

I have never seen an SP ask for linken info and only for work info if the client is not willing to provide other info.

Seems like a weird poll if it is not truly reflect what we normally ask for.

It's not a job interview. Too much private information.

Its hilarious anyone would even consider letting a girl know any real info
Most of us have fake names & phones to avoid call backs

I would never even disclose things like terb handle
(Terb? No never heard of it, are they a new agency?)

True, but some places, like Edmonton, its the norm outside of BP.
I'm happier anonymous and that can be done here, I miss out on some SP's, but that's ok.

Hmmm...

If I were a betting man, I'd say those 3 respondents that voted yes to giving out personal information, might be SP's that might be inclined to ask for this type of information.

Absolutely agree. That is my limit too.
In this activity nothing is absolutely safe for either the SP or us but the risk to the SP is certainly decreased with the information that Ridgeman would provide.

I've come across many high-end SP's and the screening form is almost the length of my laptop. Gimme a break. What does my work place address, work place phone number, job description and income level have to do with anything. What's next ? Driver's license, passport and urine test. . I"ve stayed at the Trump 50x and I've never had any problems booking an outcall with less private screening questions, but if I'm booking that same outcall SP and I"m staying at a 3.5 star hotel, I'm only about 50% success ratio. What does the hotel rating have to do with anything ? ARGH.
Discuss amongst yourselves.
