I couldn't agree more William but it's been a long time since I've seen that Ealing classic. Alec Guinness is perhaps the best character actor of all time, without him as a role model the younger Peter Sellers may not have gotten beyond The Goon Show.

If you like pitch black comedy then American Psycho is the film for you. Christian Bale has built a stellar career from it.

Off the top of my head and in no particular order. Here's my top 10. With so many good ones, I couldn't narrow it down to just 3. :)

- Ferris Bueller's Day Off
- All of Me
- There's Something About Mary
- Wayne’s World
- Airplane
- This Is Spinal Tap
- Monty Python and the Holy Grail
- Blazing Saddles
- The Party

Great scene. I also love the one where his finance is at the cop shop waiting and the homeless guy compliments her purse

The scene in Trading Places that always has me laughing is when Dan Ackroyd is being imprisoned. He's emptying the contents of his pockets " La Boheme it's an opera" then he's told to strip. Ackroyd resists and the bailiff points his baton at him menacingly and says:

Strip ya little shit for I tear ya a new asshole!

I'm sure there are more that will pop into my head later on, or when someone reminds me of another of my favs.

Dirty Rotten Scoundrels is a classic for sure and is always a joy to watch since it relied on clever writing not lame or dated pop culture references. One of Michael Caine's best and it also has The Emperor Ian McDiarmid.

Really impossible to pick one but this popped into my mind. Midnight Run with Robert De Niro and Charles Grodin.

That was the first movie I ever saw where they didn't use any clips of the movie in the trailer (teaser). I loved that!

I would have to agree with My Cousin Vinny with Marisa Tomei being stunning AND winning an Oscar for her superb performance in a comedy.. very rare.
