3-0 to start off the season .... Wow still can't figure out why that doesn't excite me ... Anthony Bennett is either getting DNP or 2 mins of garbage time .... Hope he starts developing cause the PF position is there for the taking .. Neither Scola or Patterson are giving us what Amir gave us yet ...

Het 3-0 ... We are two time division champs and so life isn't that bad being a Raptor fan !!! Great to see Vasquez receiving a hug from Raptors coach Dwane Casey on the sideline. Then as his name was announced as a substitution, he received a round of applause from the 19,800 in attendance.

That was kind of sad to watch. Thought Kidd would have the Bucks organized and competitive. Vasquez did not look like a happy camper as the Raps put them away fairly easily. The more I watch Carroll the more I like him. Awesome pick up. Ross looking good off the bench. He matches up a lot better against the second team and his confidence is getting there. Was hoping to see something from the reserves but didn't. Next four on the road, that should give everyone a better idea as to what the Raps have.

The Raps have 4 First round pics in the next 2 years and so this team can address some needs at deadline if required ... I would like to see something from Masai Ujiri draft selections during his reign ...
Bruno Caboclo is like the guy said on draft night ... He is two years away from being two years away ..

He maybe 2 years away from being 2 years away....TODAY!!!!! Needs time in Mississauga IMO he has shown nothing to date.

While I'm on a bit of a rant, hope Lowery stays healthy as Joseph is not a #1 PG. OK as a back up but just OK.

The second best PG the Raptors have isn't on this side of the ocean ... Nando De Colo who plays in Europe is better then Joseph ... Dallas up next and they are a team the Raptors should beat ...

I like tough schedule at the beginning ... Will give us a better perception of what this team really is ...

Yeah they got him for next to nothing and so far looks like an even trade as he ain't here and doesn't look like he is coming here. Spurs probably would not have dumped him if he was staying in North America. He may be Raptor property but that is about all. Doesn't look as if he will play here at least not while he is in his prime.

Tough schedule will definitely bring out true colours....3-0 is a great start but if they can go 3-1 over the next week, it will be really impressive but 2-2 would be real progress too! Dall, OKC, Orl and Heat will be quite the test. Solid beginnings and plenty to build from.

Raptors gamble on Terrence Ross ....

Yahoo Sports reports he has signed an extension worth nearly $33 million over three years ... Funny 3 years ... For a 11 million dollars a year this guy better learn to do more then shoot 3's ....

Guess times are changing. He has become second tier and at this point(early in the season and his career) is better player because of it. As a fan, with limited resources, I find it difficult to believe a bench player is worth anything close to that. It looks like the dollar figures will get even crazier in the future. Lowery has to be wondering why he signed for 12,000,000. per season.

Dallas tonight! Looking forward to this one as I am hoping it will give us a better idea as to what this season will bring.

New Salary cap is creating a whole new world of expectations and reality. Confounding salaries seems to be the general effect, though. TRoss got very lucky, I think. He'd better ramp it up soon to justify these expectations else buyout here we come!

D, couldn't agree more about Dallas matchup. Mediocre west team should be doable if Raps are to be considered a contender in the East. It'll be a good barometer of where we are stacked in the early NBA hierarchy. OKC tomorrow will be a bitch especially as the backend of a BtB.

Mediocre team in the west, probably is a very good team in the east.

I know it is a different league but some fans are like me and you ie follow both NHL and NBA ... Funny how a 8 million dollar Phil Kessel was runned out of town cause of how much he makes and his out put for that dollar value but then we go follow the NBA and we see a guy who has accomplished nothing and heck lost his starting job and he gets 11 million and we are supposed to say good deal ..

And then there is the 76ers.......I think some teams may have 2 players earning more than the 76ers entire team payroll.

I don't think so ... The NBA does have a salary floor that all teams have to reach ...JaVale McGee , Gerald Wallace , Joel Embiid , and Landry are guys not playing for the 76ers and the total of their salaries is 33 million dollars ... They are paying these guys not to play just to make the NBA floor but still stay at lottery position ..

I could enjoy the 4-0 start more if last yr's sweep wasn't in my memory bank. This franchise needs a Joey bats moment ..

Saying that 4-0 start first time in team history .... They held the Mavs to under 60 percent ... If they beat the Thunder ( I assume they will get crushed ) they might get my attention

JaVale McGee is on the Maverick's roster.
I thought there had to be a floor but when I looked at the roster was amazed at how little the payroll was. Embiid was showing on that payroll.
Speaking of Embiid, will he ever play in the NBA?

The fact they won the game and got almost no offense from the bench, and Carroll ended up with 3 points, surprised the hell out of me. Lowery is friggin' amazing! Scola was what I thought he would be last night, double, double, with some clutch rebounds and shots. DeRozan 3 fouls in the first half and a lot of bench time none in the second half and a very productive 2 way game. Excellent win!

Thunder tonight! This will be a real test after a hard fought game that had to wear our guys down.
