I'm getting tired of both of these networks. They keep throwing Raps games on secondary channels, SN1/TSN2, and then say that the raps don't get enough viewers. How can people watch if you put games on channels that people don't want/have and then blame us for not watching. I remember last year they put the Hawks v. Raps on TSN2 and this was when the raps were in second in the east while the Hawks were #1. *It was either that or vice versa* Instead they put friggin curling on the main channel. Was curling seriously going to get better ratings then a top of the east showdown in the NBA? Whoever is the programming director for both of these stations should be fired.

I can't blame TSN or Sportsnet because curling gets better ratings than the Raps. The networks are just catering to public interests. Why should I pay for I what consider crap progamming. I cancelled my subscription to Robbers last year, and I couldn't be happier. Ballstreams is the way to go.

Wish I could share your excitement ... I am not cheering wins as much as hope the development of Ross and JV is there ... I think Lowry is the MVP of this team and if he is healthy all year then 50 wins will be there .... I am cheering for Anthony Bennett to
prove all doubters wrong ..

Yeah I know where you are coming from, JV is getting close, and Bennett has a lot to prove. Ross has the talent, just not sure the desire is there. He needs to pick it up and do it consistently. That game against the Clippers, way back when, is past history, what have you done since????? Not much!!!!!! Looking forward to tonight's game, give us an idea what we have. Friggin exhibition game don't tell you much.
Watched Bulls vs Cavs last night, Bulls are better than advertised and the Cavs need a healthy James and they miss Kylie.

Raptors win home opener ... Good signs is team held Pacers to under 40 percent but 20 turnovers and free throw was horrible ... With AA leaving I don't think this game will get much discussion by the media
..at least we have front office stability on this front.....Raps gave us something to chew on last night as the norm of score first D later was reversed for the first time ever..!!:thumb:...To's problematic but solvable...Celtics might be a good test for the season to come...11 of 15 on the road to start will be the major hurdle for the season so if they fare well there then foundation for season is set...

That first half was hard to watch, think the offence may have been worse than the defense. Good second half despite blowing an 11 point lead.
Not sure what we got. Need a few more games to see who is for real and who isn't.

If they can go .500 in the month of November, I'll be happy. What I liked last night was Biyombo's paint protection, and the willingness to pass Valanciunas the ball. I also liked Demarre Carrol's defense on Paul George. What I did not like was the turnovers. Cory Joseph was pusihng too hard. This team cannot afford turnovers if they want to win with an enemic offence. I also did not like the stagnant ball movement in the 1st half. I also did not like the fact that the Knicks won. I want their lottery pick.

Raps knock off the Celtics. They had a chance to run the score up and didn't. When the opponent is down, step on them. Bennett looked nervous 3 quick fouls. Biyombo in foul trouble early and as a result not much contribution. So far you gotta love Carroll. Tough and talented. Lowery and DD did their thing. Ross looked like a player. Hope he continues. The Brazilians continue on the sidelines, expect to see them in Mississauga.

Any time I watch a game featuring a western team I get knocked down to reality. Even Sacramento looks tough this year.

If you were watching them against the Lakers, everyone looks tough when they play the Lakers..!!

Bench was a question going into season for me, but after preseason and 2 games in, they seem to be more in form than starting group. Joseph/Ross seems to be replacing Vasquez/Williams and they are definitely an upgrade defensively but last night showed that they can also be offensive replacements. BB and PP and JJ are strong up front and if this group can keep stepping up and Bennett, Wright and Powell can add minutes we might get through the "month away syndrome" .500 or better!

Starters need to find offensive chemistry sooner in the games but they look like they can become better.

If they can get through the next 4 .500 or better, they'll be rolling...Mavs/OKC to start roadtrip on a BtB will be a telling 24 hours! So far so good so let's go Raptors!

LOL....yeah it was the Laker game, but was simply referring to their line up. How does JV and Lowry stack up against Willie - Stein and Rondo??? Then I know we have no answer for Boogie Cousins. Rudy Gay vs Derozan? (Close). Collision vs ?? They even have veterans in Caron Butler and Bellinelli

Even if it's close, Sacramento isn't even a mention in the West standings.

Wonk, that's the NBA world of east vs west..! West definitely still have the edge in depth and skill across the board. Raps are favoured in the east only because the Atlantic is so weak. Raps may have less individual talent than some but teamwork will have to take them to the next level. BTW, return for GV tonight, should get a warm welcome..

Enjoying what I'm seeing from the team so far this year. Granted, Pacers, Celtics and shorthanded Bucks aren't exactly stiff competition, but you can only play the opponents the schedule-makers put out in front of you.

So far Scola, Biyombo, Joseph and Carroll have proven to be solid pickups by Masai. I like Joseph so much better than Vazquez already, he's just more interested in keeping everyone involved, sometimes Vazquez thought he was the best player on the floor and would shoot pull-up 3's and ill-advised push shots in the lane. I also like Biyombo's rebounding and presence in the paint kind of reminds me of Antonio Davis, but without the offensive game. Carroll is worth every penny so far, but I think we all knew what we'd get from him, he's the kind of player you don't need to worry about because he'll give his all every night. Scola is just a crafty veteran who knows what he's doing out there.

Can't wait to see them play the Thunder on the road this Wednesday.

We'll have to see how we fare on this Western road trip. Our guard play is pretty solid. Carroll is great. I have to say I'm impressed with JV. He's developed a nice offensive touch around the basket. I hope he's consistent with it going forward.
