Well, no. We lost Game #1 probably because we were emotionally flat after the comeback against TEX and becaue of a solid Volquez start. We lost Game #2 because Price lost his location in the 7th. And KC had their mini comeback in the 9th in Game #3 because we inserted Hendricks (a second tier reliever) who was too nervous and disorganized to pitch effectively. And we did that because the game was out of reach of any KC comeback.i thought the jays pitchers got hit hard all night, just right them most of the time, even the last two outs were rockets right at someone I believe. I'm a fan but they can't hit good pitching, cueto or kueto is suspect at best.
Jays are a great one dimensional team, when that dimension doesn't work, look out below. Most fans know the series is over, but it was a fun ride. Anyone confident after that game is just a cheerleader, kc will be business as usual today.
So they scored 4 runs in the 9th??! They were down 7 runs and no team makes that deficit up. Even with a KC flurry, Game #3 was never in doubt. The 9th inning rally which scored 4 runs was the best case KC result against a lesser quality reliever.
Game #4 will be won if Dickey out pitches the KC hurler. Simple as that. We owned KC at Rogers this past season. We took 3 of 4 and lost the 4th game on a Lowe melt down in the 8th.
KC are a scrappy team with a lot of high average contact hitters who can string together a rally and an excellent bullpen. Those are their strengths. They're not the '27 Yankees.
