Interesting article on the Score, large increase in NHL players testing positive for cocaine during the past season, problem is cocaine is not on the banned substance list for the NHL. League officials have contacted the NHLPA about adding the drug to the banned list. I'm guessing the league is a little embarrassed about the rise of cocaine use among its players and the possible negative impact it may have regarding its image especially with the youngsters. Also league officials worried the younger junior aged players will pick up the habit as its apparently become an "in" drug again amongst the younger generation.
