Henry Cavill would make a great James Bond but now he's got superman and The Man from Uncle Franchises.

IMO Cavill needs a few years. To me he still look a bit boyish from certain angles.

Here are some photos of those rumoured to be in the running.

Most recently, Elba’s odds at the bookmaker William Hill are 5/2, making him the favorite in a race that also includes the Man of Steel actor Henry Cavill (7/1) and The Walking Dead’s Andrew Lincoln (14/1). But in recent days, odds have shortened considerably on the Homeland and Wolf Hall star Damian Lewis, prompting media speculation that he’s “in the running” to take on the role.

Its a shame Daniel Craig won't be doing any more... he doesn't seem like he is getting too old for it to be believable yet.
I think Craig has 2 more films including Spectre in his contract. Breaking it would cost him a lot.

Roger Moore played Bond into his 60's - not well but he did.

007 is old and tired and Idris Elba doesn't need it. Especially if Beasts of no Nation gets the acclaim I believe it will. He'd revive the franchise, and it would gall the intolerant to watch him bed a few white chicks.

I've also heard that Nicolas Hoult (MM: Fury Road) is in the running. But if that doesn't happen here's your next Bond!

I think Clive Owen would be great for the part.

They've approached me several times but said I was too life like and believable and would be more suited to be a real life super hero with no script.

So this would be a Bond that gave up on life, dyed his hair blonde, gained weight and started paying women for sex? Mmmm.
That would really change the usual script.

They approached SchlongConery but I heard he was too well-endowed.

The only guy who I think can pull it off in this list of photos, is Rupert Friend (did you see him in Agent 47?)

I still like Daniel Craig over his predecessors except perhaps Sean Connery, but I did like Timothy Dalton.

Jason Statham would be , unfortunately he is not tall enough.
That's one guy I definitely wouldn't think would fit the role at all. I just looked it up, he and Daniel Craig are the same height, 5'10".

Never heard of Rupert Friend, but he has the looks.

I wasn't too keen on Dalton, but Pierce Brosnan was very lame.

Tesla, in the bad ass movie Agent 47 (I was bored one night and went to the theater by my lonesome to see this action flick), Rupert sports a shaved head. He was very good. I think there's a hot female agent in Agent 47 that is listed as one of the potential female 007s too.

I'm down with any of the following gentlemen: Michael Fassbender, Henry Cavill and Idris Elba.

But Craig is signed on for 2 more films after Spectre.
I remember watching an interview with the producers admitting that they would like Craig to match (or surpass) the same amount of Bond Films Roger and Sean starred in (7 each).

I'd be surprised if Craig makes it pass 6 Bond films though.

I actually disagree. I think Brosnan was one of the better bonds. What didn't you like about him?
He was too glib, the franchise went downhill.Too much like Roger Moore. Rupert Friend would make a good Bond, he was the male lead in Jessica Chastain's feature film debut, Jolene. What a body!

But I have to ask, why not Jayne Bond?
