Exactly. When the team does poorly, it is the manager's fault but when the team does well it has nothing to do with the manager. Even you should be able to see what a stupid concept you are proposing.
It also appears you have no criticism of Girardi leaving Nova in to face Smoak with a lefty reliever available. Only Gibbons is held accountable for every loss. Which managers make every right move, anyways?
Aside from your personal perception, what proof do you have? Do you attend practices or team meetings? What inside insight do you have that the rest of us don't.

Players who played for him with few exceptions seemed to really enjoy his style.
Players said Cito treated players like men, let them do their jobs,
only called someone in if there was a real issue.
I've heard different players quoted as saying: "If you couldn't play for Cito,

John Gibson carries himself much the same way, quiet, lets the players play, police themselves.
Deals with issues in his office, doesn't embarrass his players.
I don't want a Billy Martin or Tony LaRussa type running my club.
The best "bosses" I had in my working career were similar in style to Cito & Gibby.
Quiet, stood back, watched and let his/her people do their jobs.
I knew when I needed assistance they'd be in there like a dirty shirt, helping me out with issues,
I knew they always had my back.
That gave me confidence to perform without worry.

There is no evidence that Gibbons is tossed way too easy, most Blue Jays fans watch primarily Toronto games.
Every team's fans thinks their team is the one being singled out and targeted.
Players/Managers/Coaches from every team get ejected from games, usually when they deserve it.
Paranoia is a magical thing, don't fall into the trap of thinking that there's some mass conspiracy across MLB to deny the Blue Jays a chance at the World Series.
The players on the field will decide who wins (with occasional help from their manager & coaches).

Some things stay the same. The mightiest of all baseball players comes up feeble once more. With A-Rod numbers, the Yankees should have won more than one WS. Jeter aside, he is not in the same class as O'Neill, Posada or even Hideki Matsui.

That was the best pitched regular season series I have seen in years. We allowed 1 run total on a solo shot in 3 games.
And hats off to the Yanks. They played and pitched very well too. I can't see them collapsing at all.
