I don't know but that's possible, and probably conventional technology now if not nearly obsolete.Isn't that what everybody is using?

Thank you!Are you referring to actual RADAR or infra-red technology? If stealth planes employ radar absorbing material or shapes, how can radar waves improve?
ASEA is a more advanced type of phased array, I don't think that was ever banned and was used in all the AEGIS class destroyers and cruisers. I think ASEA is also much more compact.Alrighty nottyboi.
BTW, what about Phased-Array Radar? At one time, it was banned in Arms Reduction Treaties. Has that become obsolete now, or is there any merit to that radar technology?
RADAR uses radio waves or microwaves. RADAR is the system by which these waves are used for object detection. The is a VAST ARRAY of technology that can be used to manipulate these to enhance their use for detection.Thank you!
Yes I think when you look at the Russian PAK FA the design is much less compromised by stealth as they don't believe that stealth is a durable advantage.New Radars, IRST Strengthen Stealth-Detection Claims

Yeah, how dare anybody criticize the MIC.The military industrial complex hard at work.
20 years ago, doppler radar technology was able to identify aircraft types by the signature of the fan blade rotation of their engines. That was 20 years ago.I don't think radar technology will be changing any time soon.
LOL...now that is funny
The Avro Arrow was an engineering marvel, way, way ahead of it's time, we all know the story, unfortunately, due to many political/economic reasons, Canada, has become an 'Americanized' cesspool of democratic geo-political behavior that now cannot be changed.
We ARE now "Pavlov's Dog", in military/political terms, to the Americans, just ring the bell, and we salivate to the American drum. The optimistic part, if you can call it that, is we are still under their military umbrella, and, no matter how we feel, is not really a bad thing.
The sad part is we have lost the opportunity to make our own decisions on military hardware without their 'approval'?
Kinda like they are our "King" and we have to submit......says a lot, but the nice thing is we do know how to prevail...just need the right PM to do that..........which may be a loooooong way off.
Hopefully, someone might take a stand, but short term, I doubt it.
GWB
if we take a stand and say no to the americans. then the americans might decide to show their true face - greed, selishness, self imposed superiority and assholism - instead of their 'patriotism good natured face' and decide to go to war with us. like russia is doing with ukraine.
We only want Alberta....I think Canada can produce nuclear weapons in pretty short order, but I think if things came to a head with the US, Canada would be smart enough to surrender...unlike the Ukraine and we would then lead comfortable lives as Americans....and can all move to Hawaii, FL and Cali.. dammit INVADE YOU BITCHES!!!!
^^^^^ thisIn other news, the M4 Carbine failed its bayonet charge test against the Springfield 1861 rifle.
The M4 was at a distinct reach disadvantage, said a Civil war re-enactor
By the way, the red baron died almost 100 years ago
Even now when they have turned pinko? We only want Alberta....
The F22 is not being produced anymore. No one in this thread bothered to mention that the F22, not the F35, is the modern air superiority fighter?
F35 is a fighter bomber meant to attack ground targets. It is not an air superiority fighter meant to defeat interceptors.
If you expect interceptors you send F22's ahead of the F35's.
Canada is stupid for buying the F35, the F22 would be better for us but the Americans won't sell it. We should have bought super hornets instead.
But from a US military perspective the F35 is not intended to fill the air superiority role, the F22 does that. The F35 flies stealth missions or comes in and blows shit up after the F22's clear a path.
There is no Air Force who sends fighters against the USAFThe F22 is not being produced anymore.
