Been juicing for a couple weeks now and last I checked my tests are doing better than eva...

Yeah seriously I have been juicing for a short while and already see amazing results....my skin more glow, seems like I have more energy and I have more endurance.

I don't know if there is any negative to having that much concentrate in one shot. What happens if I stop, am I messing up my system in the long run.

My faves are beets, carrots, Asian Pear.

Starting to experiment with ginger root, although very strong, wheat grass, radish and cucumber.

Anybody else like to juice...what are some of your fave belnds. I made sure to get a slow rpm juicer with auger so it can do salads, wheat grass and roots.

Because of this I went nuts in my backyard and started planing all these organics and watering with my rain barrel :D

I have have nutri bullet and blender, but juicing is so much more enjoyable, especially after an intense workout.

It sounds good to me... I do the same thing with my Vitamix. Great way to get your whole fruits and vegetables.

Two most important points to note is with non organics you need to be very careful not to overload your system with pesticides and all the other fun non organic additives. With organics you need to wash them carefully and inspect them well because of bacteria contamination.

What else would you do with it?
I like to take 4 - 5 fresh oranges, a couple of grape fruits and a lemon, squeeze them by hand, strain off the pulp and then add it to ice and vodka.

My rationale is that everything balances out in the end.

Actually it is the worst way to get your whole fruits and vegetables... as the are no longer "whole".

Wayyyyyy too high of sugar concentration in juice vs the nutrients. Even if it is "natural*" sugar, your body still processes it as any sugar and wi;; lay it down as fat if you are not IMMEDIATELY burning the same amount of calories. (whatever "un" natural sugar is!?!?)

Juice will make you as fat as drinking Coca Cola.

The fibre and bulk of fruits and vegetables are where the chief health benefits of fruits and vegetable lie and are natures way of preventing you from consuming too many calories and too much sugar too fast.
"Juicing" is a bullshit consumer craze perpetrated by manufacturers of stupidly expensive blenders and they succeed in juicing the money out of gullible, deliberately misinformed consumers.

Read this if you dare to consider your $500 blender is bad for you. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/health/a...g-body-nutrients-new-fad-not-healthy-all.html

I read it and am not convinced not to do it. They even say if you will do it limit yourself and use straw, wash thoroughly etc.. etc...

I still eat fruits and vegetables and chaw down on that huge steak, it hit it hard in the gym on the field and have juice maybe 4-5 times a week, in addition to my standard balanced diet routine.

I already feel and look better and preform better, proof in in the pudding my dear Watson.

Don't let all this mess of information screw with your head. Juicing is really good for you when managed properly.

What is making the biggest difference in how you feel is your exercise and active lifestyle. :thumb: And if you are hitting the gym, playing sports etc you can well afford, if not really use the high calorie carb boost of drinking complex fruit juices.

The problem is with people who go on a juice "diet" to lose weight. They should eat an apple, a couple carrots, an orange and some broccoli rather than a glass of just the juice. More nutrition, more filling, less caloric intake and better biological function. But whole foods don't satisfy the very real sugar addiction that likely made them overweight in the first place.

This may sound like a joke response but I'm actually serious. Doesn't juicing that much give you the runs?

Depends on you. Some people get it and some don't. Today was my juicing day so throughout the day I had 3 beets 7 carrots 3 apples radish, ginger root, cucumber, 3 grapefruits, 2 lemons, flank steak with salad (not juiced) potatoes and corn , plus lunch, breakfast, and late night snacks with run in the morning, long walk and hike in evening, and hard core workout between 9-10pm. So far feeling great, no problems with that end lol and still have lots of energy. In the beginning I started to juice it happened a couple of times but not anymore. Usually 3-5 days a week I like to juice but I like to eat other things as well to keep the balance and keep things functioning properly.

You are actually correct but your mistake is picking the comment with the Vitamix as the appliance of choice. The Vitamix doesn't "juice" it blends the whole fruit or veggie as a whole which means you're getting the most out of the food of choice of all the ways to prepare it.
