Well, Nolan pitched a few. Of course in his case, maybe luck wasn't so much of a factor. :D

Off hand, I can't remember if last generation's HoF calibre pitchers tossed no-no's. Pedro? Randy Johnson? Shilling? IIRC, Doc tossed at least 2, 1 in the playoffs that he made look easy. IIRC, Clemens never pitched a no hitter. Boomer Wells famously pitched one. Boomer was a decent pitcher, but he must have been damned lucky to throw a no hitter that day!
I think Greg Maddux never pitched a no hitter.

Did the Jays miss the boat.

Last April Joey Boom Bats hit is 250th home run. In baseball that is a milestone, why was it not acknowledged?

I think several 300 game winners never pitched a no-hitter. Can you name 1?
24 pitchers have won 300 or more games in MLB.

Grover Cleveland Alexander
"Kid" Nichols
Greg Maddux
Roger Clemens
Tim Keefe
Steve Carlton
John Clarkson
Eddie Plank
Don Sutton
Mickey Welch
Tom Glavine
Early Wynn
Lefty Grove

did not pitch a no hitter.

This would make a good trivia question. Some surprises on the list. Roger Clemens, Steve Carlton, Lefty Grove and Grover Cleveland Alexander (who won something like 373 games). On the other hand, there are probably a bunch of pitchers who did pitch no-hitters and will see the HOL only as a visitor. Remember Bo "no hit" Belinsky?

The aforementioned Mr Nolan Ryan. 324 wins and 7 no-hitters. That means he tossed a no-no every 46 wins.
Now, the following fellows did win 300 games and throw no hitters:

Nolan Ryan (7)
Cy Young (3, 1P)
Christy Mathewson (2)
Pud Galvin (2)
Warren Spahn (2)
Walter Johnson (1, 1P)
Phil Niekro (1)
Gaylord Perry (1)
Tom Seaver (1)
Charles "Old Hoss" Radbourn (1)
Randy Johnson (1)

I would have thought Randy Johnson with his overpowering fastball would have more than 1. Oh shoot, I just realized Bob Feller is not on the list because he was wearing a different uniform for 4 years fighting evil in WW II (same with Ted Williams). (I actually met Bob Feller in person when he was 90.)

BTW: Is Sandy Koufax the only living member of the "Boys of Summer"? Some of them passed in their 40's and 50's.
Carl Erskine is still alive, not sure of any others.

Hard to believe he never won a Cy Young award. Even R.A. Dickey won a Cy Young.
R. A. Dickey was a far more deserving winner of the Cy Young (2012) than Bartolo Colón (2005).

And all those wins were on good run support and lucky defense, huh?? ;)
I don't know anyone who would think a pitcher could win 300 or more games only on good run support & lucky defence.

2nd time through the order for Haren and we get to him. Hits from Reyes and Donnie and sac flies to tie the game at 2. These guys are really good to watch when they have it working.

Donnie is MVP quality, if we make a run for the post season.

It's going to be really tough for any of the current generation to win 300 games. With a five man rotation and teams going with bullpen specialists it's going to take a long career with no injuries and decent run support on a regular basis.
