Yup. Uber drivers aren't competing against each other for fares or rushing to busy venues to pick up rides. So most of those complaints don't apply to Uber drivers.

Uber drivers DO annoy me in that since they have dedicated riders, very often those civilian cars stopped in the driving lane closest to the sidewalks blocking traffic or bike lanes are Uber cars waiting for their rides to come out. That is annoying. But cabs do the same, and in many other respects, Uber is superior. And definitely safer.

BTW, your argument is fundamentally flawed as only ONE nearby Uber drivers is dispatched, by an App and the only urgency is who accepts the fare on their smartphone. After that acceptance, any other Uber drivers are blocked. Unlike with radio-dispatched cabs where nearby cabbies know where the fare is and can rush over to "scoop" the fare just by hearing the call on the radio.

I know that Uber drivers definitely rate their passengers. If someone has a low rating they won't come to pick you up or it will take longer than usual. I am probably pretty certain they may bone some of their passengers.. believe it or not ive had more cab drivers hit on my gay guy friends and ask them to stay behind to get a little action lol
