Ok so, the Leafs did not win the draft lottery. Most likely they will make good on their 4th pick. Unless something crazy happens, not going to say it. Who will the Leafs be drafting at 4th?

Easy as pie ... if he is still there Dylan Strome, if Arizona tales him then the Leafs will likely take Hanifin.

Edmonton will take McDavid, Buffalo will take Eichel.
Then Arizona will decide for both themselves and the Leafs.

Edmonton winning was the worst thing for the Leafs & Strome because Arizona needs a big C badly. I say trade back with someone who wants Hanifan, but stay in the top 10 and take either Barzal or Marner if he slides.

Hanifan teamed with Riley would create a great pairings for years to come .

You guys have a lot of faith in a team that going into a strong draft has no GM, coach or scouting staff. I wouldn't be surprised if they somehow screw this up as well.

Arizona could draft a centre in Dylan Strome ahead of the Leafs. A betting the Leafs will just draft the best player available.

Ah no they won't, Mark Hunter knows pretty much all of these top prospects.

I believe Arizona will take Strome with the 3rd pick, but they also need a defenseman after trading Yandle. Perhaps the Leafs could swap the 4th pick to Arizona for Max Domi?

Max Domi will be a 4th line NHLer at best. Dylan Strome or Noah Hanifin will be top end players.

You need two top tier defenders to be a Cup contender. The Oilers didn't draft any and will continue to suck, the Hawks drafted Keith and Seabrook and have won two Cups. The Islanders drafted Potvin, before drafting any forwards. The Leafs suck, they don't need to take a top tier forward this draft. If available, I hope they're not stupid enough to pass on Hanifin.

Von, I seriously doubt the Leafs will have the choice. When they pick fourth I do not see both Strome and Hanifin available.
I believe they will end up picking whoever is left of the top four of McDavid, Eichel Strome and Hanifin.
Further not arguing against you, just believe IF they had the choice I would take the big center they have been looking for for years.
They can get a Dman next year or via trade, FA signing. The Leafs cannot seem to get a center by any other means other then the draft.

I have to agree with Iron, the Leafs need a number one centre and Strome has the potential to be that for the Leafs. However, if Hanifan is available the Leaf should take him. The Leafs can finish bottom 3 next season and win the draft lottery and draft Austin Mathews (compared the Mike Modano?) a big American centre, who some say may be better than Eichel.

Domi has 9 pts. in 8 games playing on the top line. Has been described by people like John Shannon and Nick Kypreos as one of the few players they would pay to watch because of the creative hockey he plays. Some 4th liner.

Dam, you just beat me to it. Further to that, he's got 3 goals, 6 assists in 18 shots and is a +6.

And how is Kessel doing by comparison? 3 goals, 1 assist for 4 points in 30 shots and is a +/- 0.

Long season but Domi is the real deal!
