Booking a terb provider through False Identification.

Just recently I have received pms as well as phone calls from certain providers on this board
asking me if I had called to book with them, to which I answered no. It turns out that someone
on this board has been using my handle through txt or phone to book these ladies.
To him I say cease and desist or else I will out you. Are you that ignorant?

My protocoll when booking a provider on this board, Works like this.

1 - If I decide to contact a provider for booking, by phone or email, I never give out my handle for obvious reasons.
Just a small introduction and my first name.

2 - The only way a provider would know my handle on an initial contact is because it
was done through pm on this board.

To the ladies I say be very skeptical of the ones who give out their handle by phone
Have them confirm this through PM on the board before booking.

Then when several females contact you, you have absolutely no idea who they are speaking of and know for a fact, you have never met said person.

Whoever that is, needs to quit also.

No, not in this case. These are not mistakes that are being had. Not when guys are giving multiple contact information about themselves and naming providers with accurate links. It is disingenuous and one female I was confirming with, was about to make a mistake.

Ok but watch out for the counterfeit emails. It happened to another SP I know who explained it to me.

This and also I do check references and I do ask for a handle not only here but in other boards and I send a PM for validation on email and phone. Fortunately, thee gentlemen that contact me have not given any fake handle or pretend to be someone. It has happen twice that I send validation request and don't receive an answer and hence the booking is cancelled.
Off topic, what I do find more recurring is people canceling last minute, and now I understand why some providers have late cancellation policy.

Last year I gave a reference in an international setting and got a nasty denial with "she has never heard of you". When I contacted the reference she just said "I didn't recognize the email addy". Lot's of false references probably aren't false at all.

For me personally I do not find that there is any benefit to providing your TERB handle to any SP's. Even if they ask for it as a way for reference I politely ask if for a reference other indies or agencies can be provided, if they do say no and are adamant about knowing my TERB handle I explain the reason to them and move on to the next SP, this also goes for my real name I never provide my real name in this hobby.
I think a lot of SP's specially indies forget that as hobbyists a lot of us (majority) like and value our privacy and discretion just as much as they do, and being discreet is of importance with hobbyist who have significant others, valuable jobs that can be adversely affected, and other personal and social relationships that can also be affected.

I have never provided my TERB handle, never will and refuse to see SP's who ask for such information.

I can tell you from personal experience that this could be a case of the hobbyist not know what name he had provided the SP.
When I had started seeing SP's every time I was booking someone I was using a different name and it was hard to keep track of what name I was providing the SP's when booking, and when they were asking for references there would be confusion with the SP's and the name I had used so a few SP's would be unable to verify who I was when others were contacting to confirm.
This was way before I had realized I needed to give the same name all the time to the different SP's and agencies I see for a way for them to verify who I am in the future.

A few years ago I didn't ask for handles either or references , however then I started to notice a big increase in no shows , so I decided the best way to book was through pm's since I was getting pm's anyways . Now I notice I get all kinds of guys booking through pm and like and like Valeria said , the last minute cancel, or no shows happens. I see that some girls book asking for other types of information that some guys don;t want to say either. When asked for references some guys say they haven't got any. So it is damn hard to know how to book. It's like weeding through a garden lol. I have seen terbies that are legit,from this site so if a girl wants a reference from me I will provide it . I just make sure to tell her to get the op to pm her also to confirm. Guys using someone else handle has happened also so I ask for a pm to confirm it is him. Guys who have seen me can also use me as a reference also if they like .

I really would like some feedback from the guys who don't want to book via handle what is the best way to know you are legit. I know not all handle are either, Its just a little easier if you have something to go by

This isn't a case of a hobbyist forgetting unfortunately, or even providing a wrong name. This is a case of a hobbyist providing names of providers he has not ever seen. I am the first person to give someone the benefit of the doubt but not in this case.

There is no best way to know I am legit, I will never provide anyone with a paper trail that could be used to identify me. I will not assist you in connecting what you know about me with what someone else knows about me. I will rotate phone numbers so you can't even track that.

In my cases, I sometimes get the gentleman to briefly describe a session if difficulty appears and she happens to never have heard of him.

It has only happened twice maybe and was sorted out that way.

Yes this is very true and it's a challenge for us as providers on one hand we are asked to respect privacy, which is the number one rule and I do believe that it is of out most importance to provide our customers with an assurance that their privacy is in fact protected, on the other hand we have a responsibility with ourselves, as independent providers to protect ourselves from harm. Every provider based on their own experience an clientele (through trial and error) has come up with a way of screening clients, I do raise questions when a client is not consistent with what name,email or handle to give but he is free to do that. My approach is because I do want to establish a rapport with my clientele and I do not ask for real names but i do ask for a way to verify his 'persona' in the hobby and it would be safe to assume that this 'hobbying persona' is separate from his day to day life.
