I have a ZAGG hdx screen protector which they installed on my smartphone at the Fairview Mall location. While it does the job and comes with a lifetime warranty, I've had to have it replaced 3 times. They charge $5 for each replacement. They apply it wet and squeegee the liquid out. It looks great once it's applied but by the next day you can see all sorts of imperfections as if you've pressed your fingernail into the surface. It's very noticeable when the phone is off or looking at something with a dark background.

I took it back and complained so they said they'd replace it, then charged me $5. Would have been nice if they told me that up front. Anyway, a short time later it the same marks appeared, then a couple months later it started pealing off in one of the corners. I took it back and they replaced it again, under warranty. I told him I wasn't happy with all the marks that show up the next day. The guy didn't care, $5 please...

So what which screen protectors do you use? I was thinking of trying a glass one next time.

Why waste the money. Most people only keep phones for about 3 years. The screens these days will do fine without any protection. Really not needed for 3 years of using a phone.

I actually got my screen protector from the flea market in brampton lol It has not come off and no imperfections have shown up and I got that with a case for $15.

I use the Ionic matte anti-glare screen protector. I got it for my tablet almost 3 years back and two years ago got it for my N5 phone.
Got it off Amazon and put it on myself for both devices. Still looking great!!

I didn't have to put any sort of liquid when I did mine which makes me wonder if the people that put yours on if they had used a bit too much liquid. I know some screen protectors need a little bit of moisture for it to stick, but too much can make it look off.

Get tempered glass, I put mine on in about a minute and you can barely tell it's there.
Much clearer and smoother touch than any screen protector I've used before.

Those marks are likely from the squeegee-ing, uneven pressure during application.

I like the case and screen protector you get with otter boxes. But you have to apply carefully and squeegee out air bubbles.

I had a ZAGG on a previous phone and it was the same for me, although it did save my screen through a few drops onto pavement. But I would never get another with those air bubbles.

Thanks for all the suggestions.

You do have a point... Maybe it's an OCD thing, I just hate screen scratches. :)

I ordered a tempered glass protector from Amazon for $10 including tax and shipping. I'll see how that works.

There is a very cute asian girl who applied a glass screen protector on my iPhone 6 at the Fairview Mall Rogers boutique around the corner from the Apple Store. Nice product and I think you would like the girl. Retails for $30 but the gave it to me for $15.

Nice... Your story has a happy ending. :D

Although, I'd have to get an iPhone 6 first.
