I don't consider myself a 'Titalian' type white knight, (where you jump to the defence of any woman regardless of circumstance) but I don't like any type of bullying, especially a female. This morning at a McD's in a far away city, a customer was talking shit and bullying a girl working behind the counter. When he got his coffee (what he was harrassing her about) I slapped it out of his hand and told him to get the fuck out of here, which he did.

I had another incident in Thailand where the guy was treating his woman very badly, he was quite drunk but I put the boots to him anyway. I believe there is always a place for violence or physical confrontation, often it's the only way to get a point across.

What do you think?

:thumb: however the world is a sick, stupid, crazy and retarded place where the governments allow sh.it like this to happen.

But... this is also how innocent people get hurt, injured seriously or shot at by the mentally unstable or just the crazies. So next time you step in... be careful as YOU NEVER KNOW!

You were in the wrong and could have been charged with assault. Had you simply spoken to him about his attitude you may have been in the right. A well intentioned sentiment that was expressed in an immature, emotionally unstable, and unacceptable way.

This was not an instance that required or benefited from your aggressive, criminal behavior and I suspect you have anger management issues.

You are wrong and an eejit. What exactly did you achieve? If you wanted to take issue with his assholery, take issue while it's happening, not as he's leaving, tough guy.

You were wrong.

Violence implied can be just as effective without the need for assault. You got lucky, he could have cold-cocked you. And you ended up looking pathetic.

Like this guy:

OP was wrong....and in FACT THE OP forced even more work on the poorly paid McD staff because some poor kid had to come and mop up OP's mess. Bad decision bud!

Your the problem not the solution. People that react angrily is usually a fear based response. You could have calmly spoke to him and that would have been more appreciated. Try to figure out what your afraid of. Probably a fear of losing control. Well you can relax...nothing is under control just your response.

First, I would not even think about doing anything like either incident outside of NA and with the way the gun culture is in the US I would be hesitant to do anything other then call 911.

That said I understand where you are coming from.
Some people would do nothing, but I cannot just watch when someone is clearly being bullied.

I am always reminded of a quote attributed to William Burke " All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing."

Wrong. 2 wrongs don't make a right. McD's staff has to deal with irate customers all the time. It sucks, but in the long run, it'll help them a lot to have this experience. After the irate man left, it would have been better to crack a few jokes about him to the girl, make her laugh, and show her that not men are assholes.

I couldn't sit through that whole Howard Stern video...can anyone summarize or not worth it?
Great answer, another guy who would have stood and done nothing...yah this girl was clearly in a jovial mood after being insulted repeatedly..:frusty:

The look on this guys face was priceless, he wanted that coffee so friggin bad. Not normally aggressive but it did feel good I must admit. Sometimes talking it out with dickheads isn't an option.

I think self policing each other isn't a bad thing instead of calling cops for every incident, this dickheaed will think twice next time.

You asked for an opinion. You were given one along with an alternative less aggressive way of handling the situation that may have benefitted the victim rather than assaulting the perp. And what do you do? Dismiss him as 'another guy'.

Seems you're only interested in validation for your actions.

To elaborate on the TL incident. 45 y/o thai lady was with her 60 y/o auzzie bf, conversation was pleasant enough to start, then after a while she told me how he treated her Hope she wasn't lying.

1. Made her jerk him off ten times a day.
2. Refused to have sex with her.
3. Wanted her to find him a younger girl to have sex with.

I didn't ask for any of this and told her it was none of my business, told her she should dump him. Then she told me she went to Australia for 3 months to see him, she found a job as a cleaner and he kept half of the money for himself, that's when I decided to put the boots to him, nothing he couldn't recover from. As I said earlier, hope she was telling the truth. He was a dickhead too.

I guess I don't understand the point of joking with the girl when at the time it was the last thing she wanted. I did apologize for the mess and said I should have confronted him outside, that and the video camera, doh!

What would the point of letting this guy walk away without consequences as if he had done nothing wrong?

I think your sig below your posts is very telling of the kind of person you are... Intolerant, homophobe with anger management issues. Probably wants to be a tough guy, because daddy never thought you tried hard enough at hockey practice. If you want to be a goon, find a team that's looking for an enforcer.

... Assuming, anything you said in your post was remotely true... I have my doubts...

I don't think it's luck. It's not likely that someone will stab or shoot or kick the crap out of him, since most people won't stand up to anyone that requires a confrontation, especially if it's physical as evidenced by most replies on this thread.

Some years ago I was in a variety store in Chatham. A young woman was trying to pay for her purchases with some change. It looked like about 6 or 8 dollars worth of loonies and toonies. The store owner was a miserable cuss, he told her he didn't need her change and told her to get out. she told him "you're always mean to me" as she gathered up her change and left. I have been disappointed with myself ever since because I didn't speak up.
