As much as I can gather from insiders I know, I doubt they want him. He's tainted his name. Why isn't Deco profitable now? (As an aside).
Last I heard they cut the dividend considerably. The New Jersey operation they bought is bleeding money and Chicago just started breaking even after it faltered a bit. Toronto I believe(pure specutation) may have taken a hit due to people refusing to do business with them anymore.
And Doug hasn't had the ability to concentrate on the Business side. Randy is useless. So is the sister. That's why I said he should step back if he desires to keep the family political "business" up and running.
But he is done in this town.
I contacted Human Resources and they said they're unaware of such a job description as you have claimed.
An overpaid and underworked, City of Toronto courier will be by to pick up said job description from you tomorrow.
Your 2015 Property Tax invoice and the next 30 others proceeding it, will reflect the necessary 20% yearly property tax increase needed to fund John Tory's FREEtrack.

Make sure the Unions understand that that their time of dictating things are over and they need to be reasoned in their negotiating and not piss off the voters so they feel the need to elect another 4 years of Ford.

And I would advise the sanitation workers east of Yonge st to check the website job postings.
And perhaps also speak to some of the available councillors to get over their denial that their actions in 2009 led directly to the rise of Rob Ford. Once they realize it wasn't a blip in the business as usual perhaps they won't have have to worry as much about being downsized and privatized.

His corporate friends and backers are salivating at the possibilities. IE: Property developers and Tory's TIF.
Definitely can see him attempt to sell out Toronto property taxpayers to subsidize property developers all in the name of his FREEtrack fantasy scheme and personal infamy.

The drugs, and the cancer took Rob Ford out of the race. Before that, he was attacked for not working with council. I thought that was the whole point, to change things. Guess I shouldn't be surprised. When you try to change the system, the system fights back to save itself.
That no councilor at City Hall wants to reduce the number of councilors, that says it all.

I was in downtown today, and I was stunned at the number of people walking the streets, and no I am not talking about Bay St. south of Queen. People everywhere, but at night all gone. We need a downtown subway, and we need a subway in Scarborough, and yet, the only thing some leftist care about is more streetcars.
What Tory has to do, is cut the budget drastically, then pour the money into subways. Ask the Feds for help, because those Liberals at Queen Park has no money.
Tory talks and says the right thing, but I do not think he is that dumb. The writing is on the wall. The left has never been weaker in this city, and this is the time to push a real money saving agenda, with tax cuts and paying down the debt.
In the long run, the city is still in trouble, because too much revenue is coming from developmental fees for all those crappy built condos going up.
The only way Tory can succeed is to continue the Ford agenda. Otherwise, get ready for Tory versus Ford four years from now.

People get more conservative with age, less radical, less willing to try new ideas.

The 15 alleged 'left wing' councilors actually did get a majority of the votes cast. That's why they are on the new council representing their constituents.
I don't support the leftists, but those 'streetcars' you're talking about are LRTs. Big difference. They might have worked in Scarborough just fine. We will have to employ a mix of LRTs and subways to bring this city up to speed with rapid transit and to reduce gridlock.
