Yeah, he could very well be a narcissistic creep, but if I were this young lady's father or brother, I'd give her shit for posting it on social media. She seems like she's looking for her 15 minutes of fame too (I see she's fledgling in her news media career, which might explain it - Miss Ciccone might drive her career prospects with her own account. She probably will talk to the Star.)

I've changed my mind after reading more.

If he groped someone at work or said he "wanted to hate fuck you" to them, that alone is enough for dismissal.
As far as the violent rough sex, even if it's consensual you need to respect limits. If it was just one person we'd say it was a he said/she said situation but since several others had the same stories it's clear it went too far many times.

Where are you getting this detailed information from?
Out of his ass.

I've been following this case closely, these are all just internet rumors right now. But because its fuji he automatically believes everything he reads

Ghomeshie proclaims that he's been demonized by this woman. What if she has friends that are making up shit? (Not that I'm defending Ghomeshie).

Was the co-worker part of this group?
I have doubts several women conspired to get him.
Who knows what the story is.

But young people under the age of 25 will definitely "jump on the band wagon" quite easily.

One thing is for sure, this going to get interesting.

You're probably right but Ghomeshie wrote something about being harassed and demonized by a woman that he did not want a committed relationship with.

I have not read anywhere about an original sourced, co-worker complaint.

Fuji, I have not heard any such info to date (IOW, only his side of the story). A lawyer on 640 AM said that he would be part of a Public Service Union, so those kinds of contract terms might not be found in his employment agreement, but we don't know yet.

(BTW, I just noticed my posting time is one hour ahead. Is this still an issue on Terb? Damnit).
Has the union made a statement about this? They'll likely support him, but what would that do to their image? Do they even care about that image?

I suspect the union will have to support him if he is not charged and has not done anything illegal.Everyone has skeletons in their closet. If they can fire him for what is,until proven otherwise, a lifestyle choice. What's next?Homosexuality? gun collecting? swinging? Any shop steward will tell you that once a company gets a win on a subject in court....it's a slippery slope or a opening of floodgates from there.

Union=all for one, one for all. Like f'rinstance the union of American states to the south of us. The quid pro quo for that loyal back-up, which any union membership entitles you to, is that you are required to follow the union rules. Or else. As long as you have, their reason for being is to defend you and other members and make the outsiders to prove their case.

The union undoubtedly has their own rules about sexual harassment and such. We'll see how all that plays out over the days to come, but if the claim is that the CBC acted unjustly, the union will most properly first be defending and demanding due process for their member, and only then pursuing whatever complaints are made to them, if any. By his unilateral decison to take the matter to civil court Ghomeshi may have precluded the union from being more than a supporting player, but to imagine they'd do other than support him would be as jejeune as expecting defence lawyers to 'rat out' their clients.

I doubt on air performers are union. And he has a far higher paycheck than union scale.

I think he's toast. Three women have accused him of non consensual, abusive, violent sex. Not likely that it's a conspiracy. And I am DAMN SURE that his fat contract is loaded with terms and clauses that let CBC ditch him if he embarrasses them. In this day and age, violent, non consensual sex is pretty embarrassing to your employer if you're a media star. His FB post and $50mill lawsuit is just a smokescreen for a dude who just lost his paycheck for good.

And this has nothing to do with that whiny Ciccone bitch and her cheap rants either.

Sounds reasonable. I tend to agree with you (including the comment about Ciccone).

Exactly what I said earlier.

But I also think he's fashionable enough for another syndicated station to pick him up sooner or later
