Actually, its those who seek to suppress the will of the Canadian voter, simply because they don't like the victor, who are the ones who seek to suppress democracy and freedom. So, that would be the OP.
That's the Conservative spin, however it may also be true (that the COC wish to annul the election in those ridings because they don't like the results).
The Council of Canadians are a left-wing organization and lobby group, and I wouldn't put much faith in the reporting of PressTV.
They mentioned that unknown persons made calls about a change in poll locations in Etobicoke, perhaps to confuse outstanding voters late in the day? (I know that Ted Opitz won by a slim margin over Liberal Borys Wrzesnewskyj, and those were double-checked).
How many of those citizens complained?
The judge pointed out that the COC could not produce one grieving voter that was affected.
However, it's not good that this happened, and that it most likely points to the Conservative camp.
There's no proof of a conspiracy from the top, but shouldn't the CPOC executive conduct their own internal investigation as to WTF happened?
This does not make for good optics as far as the CPOC goes.
Thank you Emily for this post. :-0~
