Sure. 71% of children murdered by a parent were by their Mother according to US Department of Health and Human Services according to this data between 2001-2006.

The data is a bit old but I'm sure is just as accurate now in the US and here in Canada.

I'm sure most violent acts of abuse toward child are commited by Mothers too. This Australian study from 2009 seems to back it up...

I'm cherry picking a very all too common specific crime. Child abuse. I guarantee more mothers are under investigation by your local Childrens Aid Society than fathers for violent abuse of their children.

Please don't say that a study was done to show something and then leave a link to a news article. A news article is never considered a study. Many news articles put more emphasis into weak conclusions to make them seem more significant than it really was in the research, and the less headline-grabbing but stronger conclusions are an afterthought.

Please, a news article is never 'a study'.
