As of now it is just a tumor. Seriously obese people develop these things sometimes. It may not be malignant in which case an operation removes it and he goes on with a healthy life.

They won't know until they test. I lost my dad to colon cancer when I was a kid so I've been taking the arse inspection every couple years. I'd recommend it to anyone out there that hasn't.
When my mother was sick, it would usually take a couple weeks for the biopsy results to come back.
That was a decade ago, so maybe they have better techniques now?

He's been transferred to Mt. Sinai Hospital for follow-up investigation and subsequent treatment. Likely because they specialize in GI issues. I predict Rob will soon drop out of the election race.
