Those numbers sound small. Guess you got them from reliable sources? I understand Jack taught at Ryerson's for a while so wonder Olivia got widow pension from there too?
Those are just the federal MP numbers. Councillors don't have a pension plan. I couldn't say what Ryerson's plan is. Not sure if he was tenured there and quit or just taught.

I'm sure they had the opportinity to sock away other money too. I'm not worried she will be on social assistance anytime soon.

She wasn't an MP for long so wouldn't have had time to accrue a lot.

And, while it looks unlikely at the moment, she could win the mayoral race.
If Ford is out(and I think he might be if his family has anything to say about it. Pretty sure his wife may just put her foot down on this, maybe Doug as well) then I predict 60+% win for Tory. He will kill her in any debate hands down. And all the focus that was on ford will come down on her.

Chow is back in the race. Did anyone see her TV interview regarding Rob Ford Tumor? She had a huge grin.

With Rob Ford around people like our very own Fuji will vote for John Tory even though
1) John Tory supports Scarborough Subway which they hate.
2) John Tory has no stomach for DRL which they advocate.

"Anyone but Ford" drive them away from supporting Olivia Chow in order to be 100% sure to vote out Rob Ford even though
1) they are more in line with Olivia Chow's opposition of Scarborough Subway and
2) they are more supportive to Chow's social platforms.

Just ask Fuji what he thinks about Olivia Chow's raising land transfer tax to pay for school nutrition and her 90 degree curbs at intersections and Olivia and Jack living in government subsidized housing.

Without Rob Ford, will they stay with John Tory? I honestly doubt it.

Will John Tory win? I think he will.

But at 60% and more I doubt it.

I wouldn't take fuji as a microcosm of voter intentions at this point. There will be some who feel this way for sure but to be honest after thinking about it I just don't know. There are so many factors here.

Tory consistantly has polled as more likable than Chow.
Transit is the biggest issue by far.
The strategic voting.
Whether his name comes off the ballot in time(people would drop a protest vote in if he resigned the campaign after the deadline anyway)
How the press decides to portray the candidates if Ford is no longer the focus.
The debates.

And probably more I can't think of.

The next two day are going to be mighty interesting. Deadline is 2:00pm friday.
