Aw, TERB's 'little ray of sunshine' is confused.
Not at all, just wanted to immortalize another example of your brilliant words of wisdom.

Yes Stroman is elite, but he doesnt have the experience of a veteran.
There's an old saying "You cant win titles with yoot". (Pesci movie, google it).

So yeah, Stroman will be a star, but he wont win us a world series title (at least not this year). He'll choke like the rookie that he is, and we can't blame him because he's still a youngster
How is Stoman a elite player, he has only had 10 or 11 starts with a 7-2 record. Lets give him at east 1 full year in the bigs before we start comparing him to David Price.
But he's off to a good start.

Seriously? They can't Sweep one of the worst teams in baseball?
I thought they did that. In Boston?

Seriously though they can't win them all. And a win tomorrow makes them 7 for 10 on this road trip. It was a game where Houston played better ball. It happens.

The Houston Astros are a Major League team. Their players have pride and will try to win every game they play.
In July the Astros played Oakland twice after the All-Star break, winning two of three in Oakland, including a 13-1 pounding, then a week later took one of three.

Houston is an improving team. They are just over .400. Ina 4 game home series, they can be expected to split - but not win 3 of 4. So if Marcus (lovable guy) comes through, there is our split. The Jays dealt for an ace last year (Dickey) and a former ace (Josh Johnson - remember him). Dickey is no ace. And remember when Ricky Romero was to be an ace. My point is baseball can be a crap shoot and true long term aces are rare. We traded Henderson Alvarez - wish we could get him back.

Why wasn't Hutchison offered up for trade? He is potentially a good (not great) starter but for now he has limited innings.

Well, of course they can. Any day and twice on Sunday. They got together and decided to throw a few games to show head office they really are mad that there was no trade before the deadline. Now I hear they haven't decided when to stop loosing but the fix is in for the Orioles to win the World Series.

Remember now you heard it hear first.

How do you know he wasn't?
Because Alex called me and said "Nad, what do I do?". I said, put together a package with Hutch in front, a left handed bat (Rasmus or Francisco or Goins), a minor leaguer or maybe a little cash and try to get Price........but you should get another quality starter at least for Hutch. AA said he didnt want to trade Hutch

so thats how I know ;)

I saw AA at Loblaws yesterday (for real) and he said no such thing (possibly because I didn't speak to him).

You're making the assumption that 1. They would trade within the division.
2. They want Hutchison
3. They need the other players(they don't. Look at
The postions played and what Tampa has)

In other words you really don't have a clue about the mind set of GM's at this time.

yes, but I have a sense of humour. My real original point was that Hutch might have been the best bait for a good trade. Other teams wanted Stroman and/or Sanchez.....and I agree that they should not have been traded.

I wonder if Sanchez will be converted to a starter eventually, or will he remain a reliever
