They are not having any luck lately..... If this is part of the conflict there somebody's got some explaining to do...
Wow, horrible!! I think time has long past when the ICAO should divert airplanes around the airspace of Ukraine. There are some pretty dangerous weapons floating around there, with some pretty incompetent people operating them. I think this will probably be an accidental shoot down. Very tragic. From FL33...chances of survival are pretty close to zero.http://www.cbc.ca/news/world/malays...shes-in-ukraine-near-russian-border-1.2709881

You mean FL330.Wow, horrible!! I think time has long past when the ICAO should divert airplanes around the airspace of Ukraine. ....wonder is Putin ordered it?
so... its an accident?...or purposely trying to flex muscle in Europe?...maybe not on purpose..but the timing is horrible , since the russians just shot down a Ukrainian military plane which killed dozens on WednesdayI'd say that's highly unlikely.
Such an action would pretty much force countries who have otherwise stayed out of Russia's way, with regards to Ukraine, to take a more forceful opposition role.
yes its in Donestk region... photos show bodies and debris everywhere... and its not in a friendly area.. reports say a russian military GRU official Strelkov , has admitted it is a russian missle and it was a "mistake"I haven't been watching the news.
Have they discovered this particular plane?
Is it in friendly territory to enable an objective investigation?
+1Putin probably will blame the west on this... and run from the truth, like a coward
The U.S. FAA has already banned U.S. flag airlines from overflying the area (not that there are many, if any flights by US airlines which normally do).Wow, horrible!! Fuck. Don't they dispatch interceptors first before they launch those SAMs?yes its in Donestk region... photos show bodies and debris everywhere... and its not in a friendly area.. reports say a russian military GRU official Strelkov , has admitted it is a russian missle and it was a "mistake"
If it was Russia and not the separatists, this was gross incompetence. The aircraft had a filed flight plan Russian air traffic control should have been expecting it, it had a transponder which was giving all of its information. As to a MANPAD supposedly the latest Russian weapon has a ceiling of 230.reports say a russian military GRU official Strelkov , has admitted it is a russian missle and it was a "mistake"
apparently the FAA also warned both Ukraine and Russia about their conflicting air traffic controllers..saying it could lead to possible accidents ... btw i got that quote from the twitter acct. of US ambassador to russiaIf it was Russia and not the separatists, this was gross incompetence. If this holds true and it was a Russian missile... I hope the world finally wakes up and gets serious with Putin - completely innocent victims - there is no excuse.yes its in Donestk region... photos show bodies and debris everywhere... and its not in a friendly area.. reports say a russian military GRU official Strelkov , has admitted it is a russian missle and it was a "mistake"
