My name is Gaia, some of you remember me as Alyssa Babe. I am now based out of Calgary so you know I am a legit service provider.. I am posting this on every board I belong to or have in past... Please read it, is long...
My thoughts on this topic
This Nordic model as I am viewing it is a little misunderstood. From what I can tell, the Government is aiming to eliminate street prostitution and all forms of management of this type of sex trade. Further to this, the idea seems to be keeping prostitutes out of areas where children can be present, example Hotels/Motels.
Service Providers
I am not seeing much for bad for us, independent and off street sex workers. From the sounds of things, we will be able to charge considerably more as a result of less competition from street and fly by night providers who will be impossible to trust for clients. The risks of seeing these girls will be huge, and clients will have to pay for discretion from providers with proven and sound reputations. This means that cheap guys and those “all I have is $50.00” guys will have no choice but to risk jail or pay us what we want.
Clients
Clients will suffer in some ways and benefit in others. Clients wishing to see girls on the cheap will have to pony up for a hotel because there is no possible way we could since children can be present. Anywhere kids could be present will be serious hot zones and any SP getting a hotel/motel room will be at an enormous risk for both her and you. The days of us getting a room are done. If she has children, her house will be off limits and her kids may be taken away as this seems to be the primary concern of these law suggestions. Sp’s without kids may be able to get away with in home visits provided there are no children in the building for apartments, and no activities during times when children could be playing in the neighbourhood.
Clients will benefit as a result of seeing girls based on reputation which translates to less getting caught by significant others (very common in this area since many guys like the cheapest girls who care none about reputation), less risk of STD’s/STI’s since most of us who have reputations protect our bodies with care, and better all around service since we SP’s who are concerned about our reputations put that extra something into your visit so you remember us for next time.
As for the Government, there is but 1 way for us to deal with them. It is called sexual harassment laws, and I hope we all read this carefully.
1) The government has no right in telling anyone who, how, when, or for what purpose we have sex. Sex between consenting adults can only have 1 act of law placed upon it, and that is where. Legally speaking, if we have sex in a public place, be it for trade or for fun with a lover, then we could be disrupting others and this is legally sustainable for all citizens. The key here is in understanding the comment “for all citizens”. Remember that all laws must adhere to all citizens equally and that if a law applies to us regarding our sexuality, it must apply to everyone equally. Otherwise it is no different than discrimination between gays and lesbians. These people are fighting for their rights and they cannot lose. The reason is simply that we as people have the right to chose our sexuality, and who we share that sexuality with. As SP’s, we need to read our constitution and understand it. We have the right to be treated as equals, and no law passed by the government can supersede or impose on that RIGHT.
2) We need to make a voice in Government, which is done by creating an association which is funded by us ALL, and where we COLLECTIVELY support and adhere to. Clients with wealth, listen up carefully, because you as well NEED an association like this as
a. Your rights need to be protected and are in more danger than ours are
b. You have just as much right as we do to protect your privacy sexually and otherwise.
c. You have far more to lose than we do. Those of us who have significant others are already known and we have their support, in some circumstances more support than appropriate, but our significant others know about our activities none-the-less. Any way you slice this, our rate at $1000.00 an hour is significantly less than half, which is what many stand to lose if they are caught with these new laws. Stand up and fight for your right to privacy. If you don’t, who will?
Business model changes
A cooperative ("coop") or co-operative ("co-op") is an autonomous association of persons who voluntarily cooperate for their mutual social, economic, and cultural benefit.[1] Cooperatives include non-profit community organizations and businesses that are owned and managed by the people who use its services (a consumer cooperative) or by the people who work there (a worker cooperative) or by the people who live there (a housing cooperative), hybrids such as worker cooperatives that are also consumer cooperatives or credit unions, multi-stakeholder cooperatives such as those that bring together civil society and local actors to deliver community needs, and second and third tier cooperatives whose members are other cooperatives.
The International Co-operative Alliance was the first international association formed by the movement. It includes the World Council of Credit Unions. A second organization was formed later in Germany, the International Raiffeisen Union. In the United States, the National Cooperative Business Association (NCBA) serves as the sector's oldest national membership association. It is dedicated to ensuring that cooperative businesses have the same opportunities as other businesses operating in the country and that consumers have access to cooperatives in the marketplace. A U.S. National Cooperative Bank was formed in the 1970s. By 2004, a new association focused on worker co-ops was founded, the United States Federation of Worker Cooperatives.
A limited liability company (LLC) is a flexible form of enterprise that blends elements of partnership and corporate structures. An LLC is not a corporation; it is a legal form of company that provides limited liability to its owners in the vast majority of United States jurisdictions. LLCs do not need to be organized for profit.[1] In certain US states, businesses that provide professional services requiring a state professional license, such as legal or medical services, may not be allowed to form an LLC but required to form a very similar entity called a Professional Limited Liability Company (PLLC).
Incorporation (Inc.) is the forming of a new corporation (a corporation being a legal entity that is effectively recognized as a person under the law). The corporation may be a business, a non-profit organization, sports club, or a government of a new city or town. This article focuses on the process of incorporation; see also corporation
A trade association, also known as an industry trade group, business association or sector association, is an organization founded and funded by businesses that operate in a specific industry. An industry trade association participates in public relations activities such as advertising, education, political donations, lobbying and publishing, but its main focus is collaboration between companies, or standardization. Associations may offer other services, such as producing conferences, networking or charitable events or offering classes or educational materials. Many associations are non-profit organizations governed by bylaws and directed by officers who are also members.
In countries with a social market economy, the role of trade associations is often taken by employers' organizations, which also have a role in the social dialogue.
An Association is constitutionally protected in the Country of Canada. An Association can lobby for “SELF REGULATING POWERS” and can be developed to act as an indefinite organisation which can be passed on forever.
I have the full plans for this association, how to develop it, how to organise it, even how to generate the necessary money to keep it operating with all of the expenses it will need to incur. I need a lawyer, I need the SP’s willing to climb on board and come to the table with more than simple words of support. I need clients who are willing and able to back this either financially or by way of speaking up.
Our fates are being considered as we speak, and we DO NOT have a voice in this. How long will we allow this, that is up to you. If you share a similar concern e-mail me and we can set something up.. escortgaia@live.ca.
