Exactly. I wouldn't classify her as beautiful. She made a popular movie, and that's it. If the movie was a bomb, she wouldn't be anywhere in sight.I don't think of these lists as Most Beautiful, otherwise they wouldn't change so much year to year - they are really a measure of the celebrity status of a person in that year- if she didn't win the oscar etc she would be # 1 - may have been on the list however.
Almost as pretty as you sexy! She's model pretty. Very nice facial structure, skin and tone.
This. Our paradigms for beauty are socially conditioned.http://www.cnn.com/2010/US/05/13/doll.study/
maybe its the way we are condtioned ? anyway , she is beautiful and deserving..
+1. While we all have our own perceptions of beauty, there is the question of how these perceptions are formed. There is variety in beauty, it's ok to represent this. The past few years of the mags most beautiful:http://www.cnn.com/2010/US/05/13/doll.study/

Halle Berry still grabs my attention even after all these years.+1. While we all have our own perceptions of beauty, there is the question of how these perceptions are formed. There is variety in beauty, it's ok to represent this. The past few years of the mags most beautiful:
-Gwen Paltrow
-Beyonce
-J Lo
-Christina Appelgate
-Kate Hudson
-Drew barrymore
-Angelina Jolie
-Julia Roberts
-Jennifer Aniston
-Halle Berry
Although Halle and Beyonce are a bit different than what they usually choose, there is an obvious tendency toward shadism in their choices of non white women. Having working in the magazine industry myself I know that people of darker shades are often not chosen to be on covers of magazines because the sales drop in relation to the discriminatory perceptions of buyers. Lupita, who is IMHO, gorgeous, is part of a new wave of women helping to correct this problem and perhaps helping to change all of our perceptions through her current high media profile. It's refreshing to see a non blonde as this years most beautiful.
p.s. to Carling, thanks fro bringing up the doll study
100%The concept of beauty, in and of itself, is far too subjective for anyone, male or female, to ever be classified as "Most Beautiful". Is she attractive, very attractive, most attractive? All depends on who's eyes you're looking through.
+1 .. you're welcome... btw, looking at your website... might have to get my Lupita fix with one of your beautiful ladies+1. Halle is one of my all time faves and, in this observer's most humble opinion, far more beautiful than Miss Lupita.Halle Berry still grabs my attention even after all these years.
