I get around.
Name another country that provides automatic citizenship to only one religion?
It's not quite "automatic".
But it's true, there are no other countries like Israel. As I said before, and you must agree based on your post counts, it is by far the most fascinating and politically important nation on the planet.
Syria is in complete upheaval with massive ethnic cleansing going on, but it's not worth commenting on. Central African Republic has huge scale genocide happening between Christians and Muslims but really, you don't care about that because...it's only Africa. And Jews aren't involved.

ps
England provides automatic citizenship (passport) if one of your parents was born there, which is even stranger than Israel's policy. You might never have been to England yet could become a citizen.

Back to the thread topic, Mayor Ford did reach out to B'nai Brith and others.

http://o.canada.com/news/rob-ford-rosh-hashanah-video/

of course Ford being Ford he probably assumed a New Year's party would involve free drinks.:deadhorse:

And this, from 2010:
June 24, 2010

Toronto - Mayoral candidate Rob Ford is outraged Pride Toronto has reversed its decision to allow Queers Against Israeli Apartheid to march in the parade. "There is no room for hate speech in the City of Toronto, and I'm going to do everything I can to stop this," said Ford.

Ford supported the original motion put forward by his Council colleague Giorgio Mammoliti to withdraw funding to the parade if they allowed Queers Against Israeli Apartheid to participate. "Pride Toronto just doesn't get it - this taxpayer funded parade is not about international conflicts," Ford added. "The parade is a celebration, not an opportunity for an aggressive fringe group to spread their hateful message."

In 2009 Pride Toronto received nearly $300,000 tax dollars for the parade, policing and clean-up. "The Santa Claus Parade, the St. Patrick's Day Parade the Greek Parade and many others don't receive public funding," Ford added. "It is astonishing to me that in this day and age, Pride Toronto is going to allow such a hateful message at their event," he concluded.

Do your lies ever stop? Israel has 1.5 million Muslim and Christian citizens and every year has more Muslims and Christians gaining citizenship.
Israel has deliberate policies that favor Jews and a clear policy to retain a Jewish majority. There is a name for that.... oh ya racism.

Yet they have 1.5 million non-Jewish citizens and more being accepted yearly.

Meanwhile your racist mind refuses to criticize the Palestinians for their policies.

Does that mean there is not a Jewish majority? Are more Jews entering the country through automatic citizenship or people of other faiths who have to go through a separate immigration system?

oh yah racism.

It's again unfortunate that you can't answer questions related to your posts. Giving context would provide readers with more information by which to judge the information. So, let's try one more time:

Councilman Garcetti is first elected Jewish mayor of Los Angeles
May 22, 2013 6:24am
LOS ANGELES (JTA) – Eric Garcetti, a veteran city councilman, became the first elected Jewish mayor of Los Angeles.
Garcetti, 42, defeated City Controller Wendy Greuel, 54 percent to 46 percent, with all precincts reporting. Greuel conceded in the early morning on Wednesday.
“Thank you Los Angeles — the hard work begins but I am honored to lead this city for the next four years. Let’s make this a great city again,” Garcetti tweeted when his victory became apparent.
Garcetti, who has been a councilman since his election in 2001, is the son of a Jewish mother and was raised Jewish. On his father’s side, he is of mixed Italian and Mexican heritage.
He takes his post on July 1.

Ouch...this has got to hurt:

Bill de Blasio Is Wrong to Pander to AIPAC

"Deplorable? Yes. Surprising? Hardly. Perhaps the most depressing feature of this ritual of abjection is its predictability—the fact that for decades, this has been standard operating procedure for many American politicians, even ones who are steadfast on core progressive issues like de Blasio. Office-seekers learn to assume early in their career that if they don’t pledge fealty to AIPAC, retribution will be swift and their political life could be a short one. So rather than test the limits of the lobby’s power, most of them go along.

AIPAC’s dominion—reinforced by Christian Zionists and the usual cast of neocon hawks—is destructive on many fronts. Not only has it prevented a just resolution of the Israel-Palestine conflict by enforcing lockstep US support for the most retrograde elements in Israel; in recent years it has, in league with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, been doing everything it can to provoke US conflict with Iran. Now, when a conciliatory new government in Tehran is seeking rapprochement with Washington—the best hope for US and regional security in more than three decades—AIPAC and its allies have been pressing Congress for renewed sanctions precisely in order to kill that hope, which could set Washington on the path to war.

However, it’s important to recognize that many of the assumptions that underpin AIPAC’s influence don’t carry the force they used to. Praising what he called the “deep connection” between New York and Israel, de Blasio pointed out that New York is “home to the largest Jewish community outside the state of Israel,” as if Jewishness and Zionism (and, by implication, Zionism of the AIPAC sort) were indivisible. But polls consistently show that among Jews, Israel actually ranks very low on the list of political priorities, as do the long-running tensions with Iran.'
