Tough loss last night for the Rangers in Pitts. I'm thinking they are a little tired and can't score any goals lately so I've bet the Leafs along with the Habs and tossed in the 49's over my Packers.

can only imagine if it was turned around and say, eaves, gave the stick to kessell, same way. everyone on here,{ well almost everyone}, would be clammering for 10 games minimum.

I thought the punishment was a lenient. 10 games would have been excessive. My thought was 3 to 5 games.

I'll be the nut bar, but would have been surprised if there been a suspension. Had Lupul been suspended, I'd have to wonder, how did the elbow Lupul was nailed with in the same game go missed?

Still the sum of the fine is a little silly though. Lupul could hand over a debit card and smile while he pays the equivalent of a $25 parking ticket for any normal person. If you're going to allow borderline contact to not be suspendable, then smack with either $25,000 or $50,000 on repeats.
My understanding is $10,000 is the maximum fine allowed under the CBA.

A far sight better than the maxiumum $2,500 allowed under the old C.B.A.

$10,000 is maximum allowed for a 1st offender, $15,000 maximum for repeat offenders.

So much for that parlay.

If you're gonna lose, better to lose both games. Better than winning the first and getting your hopes up.

What is it with the Leafs? Most of the time I bet on them they lose. And tonight they got smoked by a team that played last night.

Don't know what's wrong with Kadri, he looks lost, playing nothing like he was last year, he seems to be skating aimlessly away from the play, and gets caught a lot and turns over the puck. Holland is playing way better, he even makes Orr look good. Maybe a game or two on the 4th line will motivate Kadri.

Look for Reimer to get the next start, and Gleason to replace Ranger who is back to his plodding ways. Fraser should get back into a game, they really needed a d-man to move bodies and he was doing a great job of it last year, don't know why Carlyle never put him back with Franson they were great together last year. If Gunnar is injured he should get in, or maybe he'll replace Rielly in a game although they should sit Gardiner, he is so laissez faire with the puck and with man to man coverage it drives me crazy.

Clarkson out as well, but it has no effect he has zero impact on any games. Wonder who they'll call up, I really like Bodie in his place.

Dominic Moore still going strong, too bad Burke had a personal vendetta against his family.

So much for that parlay.
So much for the whole day.

Juniors lose.
I lose my Indy bet.
Leafs lose.
I lose my Philly bet.

No joy in shackville.

A Saturday I would like to forget. Juniors, Leafs ... at least the Eagles lost.
Looking at it from a positive, it keeps them grounded. No nights off for the Leafs.

Didn't see the game but from what I read in today's papers Phaneuf got his clock cleaned by Kreider, maybe he should learn how to play defense and then take fighting lessons.

Always enlightening to hear the valuable input from the Leaf haters. You must miss dj1430.

Ok. maybe just the fighting lessons.

You need some better sources....

All Kreider did was clinch with Phaneuf and then pulled him down to the ice....

I don't even think any real punches were thrown...

As I stated, I didn't see the game and just went by what was written in today's Toronto Sun sports.

Leafs will have the same set of circumstances on Tues. They play the Isles. who happen to be playing the night before just like the Rangers.

That and both teams are based in New York, but the similarities end there.
The Islanders are not the Rangers.
I think the Leafs win this game in regulation, but of course we are talking the Leafs, they are "like a box of chocolates ..."
