Picking on Francino for his anal pretentions is far too easy. I don't believe he's an outright bigot, just gullible and naive in the ways of the world. He needs a trip to New Orleans to retrace the life of Tennessee Williams, he may actually learn something. And I've had both sp and civ offer me their backdoor, anger doesn't get you very far - or very deep.

I've known several from the long coated lines that were used (for not so pleasant purposes - not that that was the dog's fault) in the former (unlamented) DDR. The Kennel Clubs don't like them, but frankly I think they are not only nicer looking, but more intelligent than the short coated German Shepherd/Alsatian's.
