Why don't you change your name to Phil C. McIdiot. It would be more honest. Why don't you provide me with a list of brown/black and white cops that were fired. If you think TPA will provide stats like that then you have earned your new name
Ah, we're down to name-calling now. Sure sign of someone who's losing the debate :biggrin1:

You dont need a list from the TPA, all you need is online news articles. You know, the same way you found that article in 1st post of this thread

Nonsense, the online archives are not that complete. Besides, as I said, there were very few coloured cops not so long ago, a fact that would make all the data irrelevant anyway.

Coloured cops have been around since 1990's. Internet news has been around roughly since the year 2000, that gives you almost 14 years of news articles to choose from. Fail!!

And here are 5 Toronto cops who were busted and fired. Funny, all 5 cops look pretty white to me:

Massive Toronto police corruption trial begins

Five former Toronto police drug squad officers who were accused of beating and robbing suspects of drugs and large sums of money will go on trial Monday, accused of a conspiracy in which they allegedly falsified official police records to cover their tracks.
The cast of characters

The charges against John Schertzer, Ned Maodus, Joe Miched, Ray Pollard and Steve Correia date back to the late 1990s and police drug busts they performed in which the Crown alleges the officers themselves committed a range of offences — from conspiracy to obstruct justice, to theft, assault, perjury and extortion

losing their job is a worse punishment than jail time?
Well, what would you rather have, 6 months in jail (served on weekends) and get to keep your job?? Or a couple of weeks in jail and lose your job and career with it??

how about they serve four years (full time) as requested by the prosecutor and they lose their job

most people who get convicted lose their job as well as go to jail. including some of the people who these cops convicted and perjured themselves

^^^^ I agree red, they got off easy. But the point nottyboi made was that white cops never get arrested or convicted. Its just not true.

You could argue they get way too lenient sentences though, thats a much better argument

he is upset by the injustice he see, and there is plenty to be upset about.

i think when someone in a position of trust, breaks the law, the consequences should be higher not lower. anyways- i have no beef with you

Wut??

Joke went over my head :(
No joke. It is the core idea explored by Heinleinn in the book and somewhat covered in the movie, a fictional future in which only those who served in the military can vote, and criminals are punished more harshly the higher their rank, up to the death penalty for even minor crimes by the highest leaders while the hoi polloi are punished leniently for the same offense.
