Funny thing. I went to a phone Kiosk at the mall to check out the new offerings. I asked the woman about the Z30, her response "stay away from bb", and pointed me towards an LG device. Even the sales people have given up.
Salespeople go with whatever sells and will remain sold.

If you return the device, they get a clawback if they have commission or a quota (almost all do).

Well if thats the case, even worse for BB. I thought it was just that particular woman's opinion.

Gameboy27 is likely holding onto significant RIM stock and trying to drive up demand by posting on forums.

No, I don't own a single share in BlackBerry. However I do own an awesome Z30 smartphone. :D

Still not sure why everyone is so scared of getting one. Unless you've actually tried one, you wouldn't really know how good they are. It's not like you're making a $30,000 purchase.

Most people expect to pay zero dollars or as close to that price here for their smartphone. Since they only get to do this every 2 years, they go with the two market leaders.

BTW, I got to handle a Z30. Not bad but too heavy. Wish it was as light as my Nexus 5.

What I find interesting is blackberry has not released the number of units sold for the z30 probably due to the fact that they didn't sell that many units.

One tell tale sign to tell if it's selling units is being in public and seeing what people are pulling out of there pockets and purses to make calls check emails etc etc. and it's seems that it's about 98 percent androids and iPhones I can honestly say it's been so long that I seen anyone pull out a blackberry.

I'm strong enough that I can handle the 40g weight difference. :D

They're probably not selling because for one it should have been released first instead of the Z10, and two the uncertainty with the company. Of course neither bother me as my Z30 works like a charm.

I've seen quite a few Z10 and Q10's but only a couple Z30's but everyone I've asked absolutely loves them. It certainly doesn't help their sales when clerks steer everyone away from BlackBerry products. The notion of you should buy what's popular instead of what's right for you boggles my mind.

I also have to laugh at some of the things they bashed the Z30 for in reviews. Half of them are plain false and the rest are a complete non-issue.

Im surprised BB is even alive. Sony doesnt sell well in phones, but they have so many products and affiliated companies they can absorb the loss. Where is BB getting the money to keep this thing going?

It won't last long.

BTW, what app do you use for Navigation / GPS on your Z30?
I'm using BlackBerry Maps. It's actually pretty intuitive and updates quickly. Ie. Warning of traffic delays or congestion up ahead.

I've just been using the BlackBerry Maps that came pre-loaded. These maps are provided by TomTom. I honestly don't use navigation on my Z30 much as I have a built-in GPS in my car.

I also discovered that by installing a program called DDPB on my PC I can easily sideload a shitload of android apps onto my Z30. All I do is download an app (.bar file) to the DDPB program, plug my Z30 into my PC, click install and I'm done. It takes about the same amount of time as installing an app from BlackBerry World. I can also upload as many apps as I want all at the same time. I just sideloaded Google Maps v6.2 to see if I like it better than BlackBerry Maps.

There is another navigation app that I may try. It's called BeMaps 10 Pro - with Google Maps. It's not free but from what I've read it's pretty slick. It won't break the bank either at $3.99

You can find tons of apps that you can't get from BlackBerry here: http://bb10bars.net/

So many people say that BB's suck because there's no apps. This certainly closes the gap.

GB and Pakboy, thanks for the replies. I was curious just in case I need to use my Z10.

I've heard nice things about the BeMaps 10 Pro. I'm waiting to see if it shows up as the free app for the days of christmas promo running right now.

Over 2 months with my Z30 and I absolutely love this phone! There was an OS update shortly after I got it and I just downloaded a second one on Monday. This latest update makes it even slicker than before including improving battery life. Not sure how that's possible, it already amazing. Nice to know they're continuing to improve their products.

I get so many compliments on my Z30, especially from iPhones users!

Had the Z10 for almost a year now. Awesome phone. Only issue is with battery lasting, but that's an issue with all touch screen phones.
