I would challenge a statement he made wherein he invited PM to join the great Republic and get a gun. I would've replied, "How great can the Republic be if you need a gun or need the right to bear arms"?

He's proved months earlier than this thread that his understanding of US history is greatly wanting. I can think of five unique reasons of the Civil War, not just the southern states wanted to leave and the northern states didn't want them to, but then we above to remember RS is not a details kind of person. Nothing like make believe. Why would they want to leave, considering they voted to join about 60 years ago? If memory serves me correctly, you might want to check USSC Texas vs Wright, just after the Civil War; state(s) wanting to leave must have permission of the other members states.

People join and leave political and economic unions all the time. One day our good friends in Quebec might decide to leave and go it alone. Or, one day the good people of Scotland might want to go indie. Or, the good people of Northern Ireland might one day decide to reunite with the good people of Southern Ireland.
