Alex Jones only speaks by yelling.
Alex Jones is not my favourite conservative either. He's off the wall.

I would challenge a statement he made wherein he invited PM to join the great Republic and get a gun. I would've replied, "How great can the Republic be if you need a gun or need the right to bear arms"?

2 He seems right that guns stop street crime as most gun felonoies are gangs against gangs which is good
Except the vast majority of illegal guns come from slimey gun dealers and US laws make it very difficult for the authorities to keep tabs on them.

Don't know what clip the OP was watching cuz this gun nut in NO WAY "owned" Piers Morgan. All he did was rant and rave and make himself look like a complete whack job.

Piers didn't even have to debate (not that the goofball would even listen long enough to have a rationale conversation), he just let this goof make himself look like an idiot.

Piers Morgan: Game. Set. Match.

I believe from his earlier post he was referring to the Civil War.
He's proved months earlier than this thread that his understanding of US history is greatly wanting. I can think of five unique reasons of the Civil War, not just the southern states wanted to leave and the northern states didn't want them to, but then we above to remember RS is not a details kind of person. He's a big picture guy. I'll let the US members more knowledgeable than I to set him straight.

Yes, but we can use a present example. What would happen if the good people of, say Hawaii, freely decide they want to secede from the union? Would the president of the day send in the marines?

Nothing like make believe. Why would they want to leave, considering they voted to join about 60 years ago? If memory serves me correctly, you might want to check USSC Texas vs Wright, just after the Civil War; state(s) wanting to leave must have permission of the other members states.

People join and leave political and economic unions all the time. One day our good friends in Quebec might decide to leave and go it alone. Or, one day the good people of Scotland might want to go indie. Or, the good people of Northern Ireland might one day decide to reunite with the good people of Southern Ireland.

More make believe from a master. As I pointed out leaving the Union in the US is not as simple as wanting to, but that won't matter to you. You know even less about the Scottish situation than you know about slavery in the US.

As usual, I deleted the extraneous crap from your post. We all know it is not easy to leave the U.S. because federal troops will come and kill you.
Except that isn't all that I posted. More revisionist lies from you.

We know no such thing. As stated earlier, you need permission from all involved and that's not likely, especially for Hawaii.

As usual, it is impossible to reason with you.

If permission is denied and you still want to leave, will the president send in federal troops to kill you?

You'll just just have to skip to the last chapter to get the answer. Oh wait, you can't do that can you. More make believe. Nothing to do with reason or common sense.

Commentary on secession.
In the U.S., joining the union is like joining the mafia. You can join but you can never leave. If you try, they will kill you.
In Canada, we actually also had an attempt at secession. The result was that the Conservative government hanged Louis Riel. Wonder what would happen if Quebec ever tries to secede?

Once again you leave out the important stuff to suit your purpose;

Discussions and threats of secession often surface in American politics, and secession was declared during the Civil War between the States. However in 1869 the United States Supreme Court ruled in Texas v. White, 74 U.S. 700 (1869) that unilateral secession was not permitted saying that the union between a state (Texas in the case before the bar) "was as complete, as perpetual, and as indissoluble as the union between the original States. There was no place for reconsideration or revocation, except through revolution or through consent of the States."[33][34]
Note the reference to Texas vs White;

If they attack Federal US bases before negotiating succession, maybe.
