In undoubtedly a hostile crowd, the Mayor Rob Ford did a very dignified job today at the Remembrance Day ceremonies. Much to the SHAGRIN of his detractors, he shook hands with veterans, stood in solitude during the 'moments silence' and delivered a thoughtful address from the seat of the Mayor.

Afterwards, the vultures were out again...not asking questions about our war heroes and the cities ceremony - but when the Mayor would be leaving. He steadfastly moved on, stating he was going no where, and went back to city business.

It is a very sad state of affairs when you need to point out the dignified and respectful behaviour of Chief Magistrate of Canada's largest city.
This is news how? It should be par for the course, standard operating procedure.

The witch hunt is already in full motion and there's no going back, his detractors won't settle for anything less than his head on a crack platter.

Did he look like he was in one of his commonplace, inebriated stupors?
Was his shirttail hanging out?
Was his shirt stained with liquor?
Was peeing on City Hall steps?
Heh, wasn't that Sandro Lisi with a package in his hands standing beside the corpulent bald-faced liar?
Did he go into a frenzied, rage and drug-fuelled rant yelling "I'll rip his throat out; poke his eyes out; it's first degree murder I tell you; don't mess with me brother; I'm a mother-fucking killer; a fuck daddy; bird, bird. bird."
What city business could he possibly be going back to? Being the Phantom of City Hall perchance. Meeting with constituents more commonly known as criminal and gangbanger brothers?

If all of the above did not allegedly occur, then we cannot unequivocally state the it was dear ole' Robbie who was actually at the remembrance.

We could ask good ole boy Robbie if it was actually himself there. But of course, he can't comment on the Remembrance Day video that he hasn't seen or doesn't exist.

more right wing excuses and jibberish... the Mayor is embroiled in a WORLDWIDE scandal , that involves crack cocaine... he hasn't resigned , and yet you expect the man to be left alone?... he should have done the dignified thing and resigned before the ceremony and have Norm Kelly (deputy mayor) present.... so the veterans didnt have to endure the CIRCUS that is FORD NATION

Thinking the exact same thing. What a low bar: He did his fucking job one day of the year. There's so many silly morons on this board it's amazing. Supporting Chris Farley as Mayor.

No, the problem is with not with us, but with Rob Ford. You have it backwards. Ironically, and perhaps a bit pathetically, most if not all of Torontonians would forgive him if he actually ditched the script and did a full and graceful mea culpa. We are a very forgiving bunch. It's the constant gaming of the system and the facts that gets most normal-thinking people crazy.

Rob only admitted any of this because he had to.

Any politician only admits to anything if they absolutely have to.

I think that the voters are going to be forgiving next fall, but his chances at re-election really depend on who else runs. If Olivia Chow throws her hat in the ring, we can only hope that she carries the same soft spot for MP's that Jack did.

What did you expect to happen?

Did you think he'd come out with his crack pipe in hand? Maybe tell the crowd "This bowl's for you" and then fire up a hot one on stage?

For the Rob Ford haters, answer honestly:

Would you prefer to have a fit, sober, drug free mayor who steals and wastes all your money? Or would you rather have a morbidly obese, drunken, crackhead mayor who spends your money responsibly?

Drugs, Booze and rock n roll.

This is stuff that sells.....and the media is (was) in a maniacal frenzy about it.

an interesting study really in bloodlust!

I note the media is not 24/7 about it today.

He hasn't saved us any money at all, don't kid yourself. The only people saying Rob Ford has saved anyone any money are Rob and Doug (who have both repeatedly proven themselves to be liars). I'd be happy with the crackhead mayor if any of his fiscal declarations were true, but they aren't. So we have a mayor who consorts with criminals and (with the exception of the garbage revamp) has not saved the city a dime. Ford Nations' hatred of "Liberals" has blinded you to the stunning fiscal, moral and personal incompetence of your Leader.

fixed it up for you!
