Very strange that Rob and Doug who agreed on everything while both were in office, are endorsing different candidates.
Rob was so awful in so many ways it's hard to list them all. But for me it was a typical thing: there was a plan in place for a casino. Ford got into the mayor's office and (just like with the Scarborough LRT which was scheduled to be running this year), he blew up that plan and launched his own ridiculous, over-expensive, over-hyped idea based on lies and more lies - until no one could support it. And not only did we wind up with nothing, Ford made a Toronto casino so toxic no one will even talk about it now. Even though election campaigning lasted almost a year, and there was a long series of debates, none of the candidates had much to say about it.
And since incumbents keep getting re-electing to council, no one will revisit this issue for a long long time.
Fuck Ford.
