I am sure he will play with the Leafs this season.
What do they do? Do what they couldn't in game 7. Put the guy who was 3rd. in face-off % on the ice to take the draws. That's right, Tyler Bozak. He was injured, remember? Would have made all the difference!

I like Rielly, but he is not quite ready for prime time.
Bernier looked sharp last night.
I really like Clarkson.
I think the Leafs may move Kulemin, I would rather see Liles go, to clear up some Cap room to sign both Franson and Raymond.

The shot was going wide. If you pause if right at the 28 second mark you can see the direction and it would have clearly come out the other side.
Fuck I hate the Sabres more than the Senators and Canadiens combined. I don't understand Clarkson's actions, the leafs and Sabres will meet several times this season so there's plenty of time to settle a score. I read TSN's post game commentary and even Randy Carlyle was quoted as saying it was a stupid, selfish move by Clarkson now we will not have him in the lineup for the first 10 games. Interestingly Paul Bisonette of the Coyotes just got 10 games for leaving the bench to start a fight, he has said he will appeal but good luck with that. Just don't see these things happen much anymore. I remember the 70's fondly and all the bench clearing brawls the Flyers would get into, god I loved it being just a kid. Funny thing is now I'm 50 and over the years I've really lost all interest in hockey especially after Bettman took over and ruined everything.
Agreed, bad move by Clarkson but when he saw a big dumb honourless fuckhead like Scott go after Kessel he reacted with instinct. 10 games is a lot but there are another 72. Leafs have the depth right now anyways, the lineup has so much more depth than before Burke was hired. It was only 5-6 years ago when the team was a complete joke with not a single bona fide top level player on the team and zero prospects in the minors.

I just read the post game report on TSN website, I didn't realize Kessel was given a match penalty for deliberate attempt to injure after swinging his stick. He may very well get a few games for that. Not a smart way for the leafs to start the season as they won't have Clarkson on opening night and maybe Kessel will have to sit as well.
