Attack on Syria is it justified ?

It would be one of the worst mistakes of Obama's presidency.
If Syria is such a problem child, let somebody else slap it. Go ahead Europeans, go ahead Israel. Leave the US out of it. I understand this omits basically everything we know about current geopolitics but the US taking any action on Syria is a grave mistake, and it is not the responsibility of the US to do anything.
It is certainly an interest, and one that would imply western boots on the ground are not an entirely bad idea. Though it is fraught with peril.
The goal would be to empower the moderates.
Let me say it again; if AQ or Hezbollah win, terrorists get WMD.
I doubt it. Israel doesn't want either side victorious (unless the small weak democratic, rights supporting movement counts). In fact I'm sure that many there would rather keep Assad because he at least kept the advanced weapons under central control and was not willing to risk his own neck to launch an attack which jihadist groups would be willing to do.

I believe this whole mess is largely of the President’s making - drawing red lines/basically daring the Syrians to cross it. I believe military action in Syria is likely to have a problematic outcome. But the very last thing you do as President is say here is a Red Line, have your Secretary of State deliver blood and thunder speeches and then say not that you are going to call Congress back into special session but that you are going to wait for ten days until Congress regularly comes back into session. The very last thing any major power can afford to be perceived as is a “blowhard.”
All I can say is that the polls must be abysmal.

Many will. There are a hella lot of Democrats who have become more, errr, tepid in their support of Obama - and particularly because of his foreign policy and domestic security/spying support. Everything else (failure to move on many reforms and promises) can and should be laid at the feet of congress and the hold-breath-til-they-turn-blue G.O.P. But there is some downright ugly shit that he owns, and he owns outright.

The evidence so far appears convincing enough for me. Whatever chemical agent that was used to gas civilians and children is, to use your word, a moot point. It seems clear that women and children were gassed to death with something. I agree that engaging in military operations without a clear plan, objective and goal is immoral and weak. We can see now that President Obama is stalling..... I was expecting to see a News Flash on CNN that a U.S. warship has just launched an attack on Syrian targets what with all the news of an 'imminent strike' against Syria, but I guess not. I'm reasonably certain that Bashar al- Assad won't be turning himself in anytime in the near future. Sincerely, Jon .
