http://topdocumentaryfilms.com/10-things-you-need-to-know-about-losing-weight

Main points from this documentary

1 When counting calories most people miss 40% of the count

2 Protein keeps you feeling full longer

3 Soups also keep you feeling full longer

4 When you are hungry you are drawn to fat foods

5 low fat dairy calcium binds with fats in your food in the small intestine and we cannot absorb them

6 While 30 minutes of exercise may burn only 150 calories it keeps burning for 24 hours even when you are asleep

7 While gym exercise is best even simple things like climbing the stairs instead of using elevator will work

8 You may think you have a low metabolism so cannot burn calories but this probably not true. This can be checked by MD

9 You may be slim but still have visceral fat which is the kind of fat that causes diabetes

10 Use smaller plates is a simple yet effective way to eat less

11 You cannot judge calories by size of what you are eating.

Most people would be quite surprised by what meals have the most calories

12 Best way to increase penis size is to lose weight.

Actually, penis stays same size it just looks bigger.

The tips above are excellent, but they are ways to maintain a healthy weight.

The only way to lose weight is to cut calories and diet. Period.

The best way to lose weight is to cut calories and diet while increasing strenuous physical activity with an aggressive gym program. But the biggest part of that is cutting calories, you can easily cut out 1000 calories a day, but it is hard to burn more than a few hundred in the gym.

The tips in post 1 are what will keep you at a healthy weight once you are there.

All you have to do to be slim is stop eating starch, i.e: bread, pasta, potatoes, rice, pastry, cake, etc.

Eating meat won't make you fat - the problem with a big mac isn't the burgers, it's the bun. Meat fat is good for you, but it doesn't make you fat.)

Give up your car and walk to your job daily should help.

Or walk up a flight of stairs to your office instead of using
the elevator.

I doubt that most of the calories from a Big Mac stem from the bun (only 200 per this web page => http://caloriecount.about.com/calories-mcdonalds-big-mac-bun-sesame-i53842)

There's mayo and perhaps other filler. The salt is enough to preserve a cod (and not good for you).

For me, the biggest key to losing weight was learning portion control. I stopped eating until I was full and only ate until I wasn't hungry. It took a long time but I eventually lost 80 lbs.

I keep it off the same way I lost it...my stomach has shrunk now so I couldn't eat what most people consider a full meal even if I wanted to. Most of the time I eat high-protein, low carbs. I do consume more sugar than I should, though.

The "small plate" tip is a really good one.

Thank you. I've accepted that it's an ongoing battle. I have the soul of a very, very fat girl.

Often it's a mindgame with myself. Yesterday, I went to the grocery store hungry. When I walked past The Aisle of Deliciousness I glanced down and decided that after I had found all the stuff on my list, I was going back to that wonderful aisle and buying a box of swiss rolls. And a box of Twinkies.

By the time I had everything I needed in my cart, I had decided that instead of doing that I would just buy one candy bar at the checkout. Then while standing in the line I decided that instead of a candy bar, I would just grab a McD's Sweet Tea on my way to my next errand stop.

Which I did. Hey, a girl can only resist so much. But I got the small one instead of the large, and told myself that one sweet tea was still better than swiss rolls and twinkies.

For me, it's really important to not have junk food in my cupboard. If it's here, I will eat it. In fact, I won't eat anything else until the delicious junk is gone.

I don't say a big mac is good for you. But, in a big mac, it's the bread that makes you fat, not the "meat".

Yes, mayo and salad dressings are bad.

It's starch that makes you fat. Carbohydrates. Not really calories, as such.

If you're overweight, you will lose weight if your carb intake is less than 1000 grams a week.

Of course, exercise is good for you, for all kinds of reasons. But exercising is not gonna make you slim. Eating less than 1000 grams of carbs a week will make you slim. If you make a firm commitment to eat NO bread, pasta, potatoes, rice, etc, you should be ok to be get down below that figure.
