Funny thing is, both those with mental disorders, or alcoholics, quite often look and even behave like everyone else, and it only becomes apparent there is an issue over time, or due to a stressful event.Sure you can. You will just pay more to do so.
I do not tolerate poor employees and I am prepared to pay to get rid of them. I wouldn't pay a hundred grand for a crap resource that would negatively impact performance of the entire team.
If a known alcoholic or an individual with mental health issues was given a firearm and sent out into the public I would also fire his supervisor.
Sure, if the supervisor could justify that he had no idea then I wouldn't fire him too.Funny thing is, both those with mental disorders, or alcoholics, quite often look and even behave like everyone else, and it only becomes apparent there is an issue over time, or due to a stressful event.
Geez, I think you're right.Even Dirty Harry only speak like that to gun armed thugs.. not high kids having a mental break down.
Using a tazer is also no guarantee to be any less deadly then a bullet:

I could have sworn that was the job of the SIU and you said you were waiting for there report but...If I was his boss he would already be gone. I would engage HR and legal to figure out the details of whether we have to pay severance....
Apparently not so. FUJI talks a good game, but there are cracks in his facade.I could have sworn that was the job of the SIU and you said you were waiting for there report but...
The job of the SIU is to determine whether any laws were broken which is remarkable different than deciding whether he is performing his duties to the standard required. Again, lots of things can get you fired that don't break any law.I could have sworn that was the job of the SIU and you said you were waiting for there report but...
Did I say anywhere a bullet is safer?!Still safer than a bullet. (I don't have to ask the question, would you prefer to be tasered or shot with a gun?)
Did I say anywhere a bullet is safer?!
I'm just pointing out a tazer is also no guarantee that kid wouldve survived. And had Sammy been killed by a tazer instead of a gun, the usual suspects wouldve been up in arms demanding tazers be banned too
Okay I'll bite....and they'd have a very strong argument...

Guarantee or not, the probability of survival would have risen exponentially with a taser. I doubt that we would have seen such an uproar, but I still think they should've tried communicating with the kid instead of taunting him.
If he had a gun pointed at a hostage's head, I say take him out with a gun shot. But that was not the case here.

You seem to continue to labor under the delusion that people can only be fired or reassigned for criminal wrongdoing. Most firings in Canada do not involve any law breaking.
Does anyone get the idea that FJUI's other job is running a sweat shop off Orfus Rd.?Lol, Fuji you're on a roll.
And you are a disgruntled former employee??Does anyone get the idea that FJUI's other job is running a sweat shop off Orfus Rd.?
I'm going with a former TPS copper, who's now working as a security guard (because he somehow broke the rules). And you are a disgruntled former employee??
You're both wrong, but that's not new.I'm going with a former TPS copper, who's now working as a security guard (because he somehow broke the rules).
Other then that I can't quite put my finger on him
NO Fuji said that step one and two are firable offences. If I crash a plane because I am drunk, but we are not sure if anyone had yet died, I still lose my job, it does not matter if anyone dies from their injuries later, for that purpose. Of course it matters for criminal charges. In the case of the captain and that cruse boat that sunk, he was incompetent for crashing it and would lose his job, but the reason he faces crininal charges is for what he did after the crash, which lead to passangers dying. If the only reason that a police officer can be fired is because they commited a serious offense, well, we must have some pretty bad officiers out there. Why do a good job when you get 100,000 a year for doing a bad one?And you are only fired if you break the law?You think he should be fired but are waiting to see if he's guilty or not. Seems like you're either supporting termination without cause or have decided he's guilty.
