The Toronto Club. What's the most exclusive place then? I heard that the service at La Castille in Mississauga on Dundas Street is lousy unless you're part of the one percent.
I believe the ownership has changed. I had a terrible experienced the last time with a group of foodies, complained nicely the next day in private and was offered a redo, which was up past standards, but it was telling. What's the most exclusive place then? I heard that the service at La Castille in Mississauga on Dundas Street is lousy unless you're part of the one percent.
Well, you have to become a member of RCYC or a partner yacht club before you can dine in the island restaurant. You can't just simply join them; the members have to approve of you joining. I believe RCYC is one of the more snobbier places in TO because it's "Royal."If I'm allowed in, it can't be that exclusive.
This is a very good list. Lucien, mentioned above, is a under rated and very good.Ditto on Scaramouche. Would also add Harbour 60, Opus (my personal fave), Joso's, Nota Bene and North 44 (more uptown though).
Enjoy
La Castille is just an old school (semi washed up) steak house. Nothing to go out of your way for. If you like dark paneling and red velvet wallpaper, yeah, sure, check it out. But if you're looking for a unique "foodie" dining experience, it's not even on the radar. What's the most exclusive place then? I have not been to Langdon Hall but I hear it is great. You really want to impress? Hire a driver and take her to Langdon Hall or that chef Michael Statlander's place called Eigensien Farm.
Groucho may have said it best in that regards.Well, you have to become a member of RCYC or a partner yacht club before you can dine in the island restaurant. "Royal" is irrelevant as far as exclusivity. It's a sign of historical significance more than anything. There are many clubs in Toronto that are more exclusive than the RCYC.Well, you have to become a member of RCYC or a partner yacht club before you can dine in the island restaurant.
