That is why I am asking ... I assumed at least two players have to touch the ball .. How else do you explain why teams have two players standing there on kick off
There are football rules posted at: http://www.soccerfootballrules.com/soccer-rules/soccer-kick-off/

Based on this, it would appear that a goal can be scored directly from a kick off. However, I think it could have been disallowed on the basis that the team that scored the goal had a player in the defending teams half when the ball was kicked. My understanding is that on a kick off, all players on the team kicking off must be behind the half way line in their own half. Referees are pretty lax on this and allow them to stand over the line.

So Jose Mourinho is back at Chelsea and he still has an erection for DDR. Since Roma are not in Europe next year he'll probably get his way.

As far as I know Heynckes isn't interested in coach Real again. He now shares the distinction of winning the Champions Cup with two different clubs with Ernst Happel and Jose Mourinho.

Happel - Feyenood:1970, Sv Hamburg: 1983.
Mourinho - Porto:2003, Inter Milan:2010
Heynckes - Real Madrid:1998, Bayern Munich:2013

Is there anyone I've missed?

Ottmar Hitzfeld (Borrusia Dortmund 1997 & Bayern Munich 2001)

and the Luis Suarez circus has begun at Liverpool, he has talked about wanting to leave but not officially submitted a transfer request, I think he is a great talent but comes at a price with his antics, he reminds of a Cassano or Balotelli, he will score you a goal or 2 but you dont know at what point he is going to snap during a match and get himself sent off.

So what's the deal with England?

The UEFA Under 21 is being played in Israel, no less. According to the press press the English team is so loaded with talent that opposing nationals are not fit to be on the same pitch with them

They were terrible.

Sure some of the their eligible players weren't there (Welbeck, Wilshere, Ox, etc...) but even the ones there didn't perform.

The EPL does not respect domestic talent, the National will continue to suffer until that changes.

Manolo "My Left Foot" Gabbiadini will be rested for the Norway match, but coach Mangia isn't doing the Norwegians any favours. Nicola Sansone will start in his place.

A great result for Austria over Sweden in world cup qualifying. Some fine players coming along for our country. Opens the group wide up.

Harnick scored two against Bayern in the German cup final and was really the engine in this game.

The blueprint for defeating Spain is clear, take the midfield away from them. Uruguay has better strikers and defenders than La Furia Roja but their midfield wasn't up to the task. Leaving Suarez and Cavani with no distribution.

Prandelli is taking a big risk by starting the teenaged Mattia De Sciglio at left back. And if Balotelli is to be the lone striker then El Sharawaay should be playing for the Under21.

Tomorrow, is Spain vs Tahiti. A single player on the Spanish team makes more money in a single game than the whole team from Tahiti. The Tahiti team are all amateurs. The team from Oceania to represent the region other than NZ and Australia. Tehiti is the proof that on any given anything can happen.

The Azzurri got beyochslapped, they deserved to lose. They had to win at all cost, they play the Selecao in San Salvador, the capital of black Brazil.

Von, you're the resident Italian fan - what is Prandelli's obsession with Montolivo? Shouldn't be starting. Same with Giaccherini...Juventus players didn't play that well today but snook that win. Better to mess this tournament up then next year.
