His sister had multiple drug convictions and was married to a cocaine dealer. Several other family members have similar issues. Before this video Ford was able to distance himself from his family's problems, but unfortunately it is not a stretch to think that the darker Ford family traditions have involved him too. He clearly has access to cocaine and is intimately connected to a community that uses it.

This story has enough legs that Ford needs to take a positive step to clear the air, either an admission that he has a problem, or a drug test proving he doesn't.
on the surface, this post seems harmless enough, but its bugging me...he is "intimately" connected to a community that uses it..and what community is that?..i was under the impression that some segments of all types of "communites" use cocaine...this latent prejudice of Fugi,s, doesnt surprise me, it just bothers me..

His sister and her friends are the community I am referring to, take the chip off your shoulder.

Seems like Ford isn't the only one on crack :D
.... hmmm ~ I seem to forget all that quality investigative journalism coming from the other Toronto daily news organizations.

Silly me thought the Ornge and tdsb scandals were uncovered by The Star, (but hey - maybe it's the crack talking....)

For me, I don't really care if he is a crack head or not. It shouldn't affect his political candidacy. I want to know what he can provide for our city, and more importantly our economy. So far, his big subway and casino plan has been a big f.

The Toronto Star has excellent investigative journalists; in fact, I heard the Toronto Star has its crack team of investigative journalists on the Ford case.

Ford is determined to get crack off of the streets of Toronto, one gram at a time.

True or not, Ford just has to go. Toronto is what, top 5 largest cities in North America? We just cant have this circus ongoing, the media is really starting to make a joke of the city now.

Do you have no sense of humour? Can you be slightly more vague? What am I willing to take Ford's word on exactly? The Star is a newspaper with a political agenda, I would hope they have more than their word when they publish, I'm not willing to take their word on anything. You on the other hand seem to be willing to take their word on everything...like a sheep.
I don't think I've said I believe anything at this point.. I don't doubt that Mayor Ford is a moron and if these allegations turn out to be false there will likely be others that won't..

However you seem to have bought Rob Ford's word that the reporter was "peeking over fences". So, it is you in fact who are buying every word like a sheep..

baa baa baa baaack to Ford Nation where you belong.

I haven't bought anything. I'd like to see proof of these allegations, none of which has surfaced as of yet. If there's actual proof, he's in deep shit and should leave office.

Agreed. In the meantime it's fun to speculate, don't you think?

The last time I picked up the Star (I don't live in the GTA) was that bullshit piece they did on Marineland.
That paper has lost credibility. So sad, as they used to have a real soul and shape public opinion.
Whether this thing on Ford is true or not, it is rather early. They figure an unproven story now is better than a proven story tomorrow or next week. Pathetic.

The Star is a joke. They have been hounding Ford since the election. Don't get me wrong, if this turns out to be Ford in the video, he must resign.

I cancelled my Star subscription the morning they endorsed Layton before the last election. This after assisting in recruiting and touting how great Ignatieff was for the previous two years only to throw him under the bus when they saw the writing on the wall. The Star is a rag, just like the Sun. Not worth much more than it's use as a bird cage liner.

I cancelled my Globe subscription after they backed Harper despite a GG report that pretty much accused him of fraud.

But really, you should be cancelling your gawker account, they started it, not the Star.
They're at $90k, by the way, almost halfway to finding out if Ford is a crackhead or not.
