Dahhhhhhhh maybe you are driving a big old commercial truck and using a corporate card?
sorry dude i am not questioning your manhood here. i use cash and credit and never have to enter an address. the only state with special rules is indiana where i have to give a dot number. california wants you to pre pay before you fill but i have never been asked for an address. even when i am there with my car on personal business.

Sorry hun,

I guess I assumed you had at least some experience other that quick back and forth trips hauling stuff in a big rig.

Many gas stations (but not all) will not allow you to pay at the pump unless you enter the cards postal code. Since it only accepts US Zip codes it limits your ability to pay at the pump.

I supposed you could call to check, but might be easier to do a web search it is called Address Verification Service (AVS)

or if you really care and are just not making things up again....

Look at the date on the documents. It was in force in 2010. It only applies to people who can have and use credit cards.

Why do you insist on arguing when you are so clearly wrong. Does it give you pleasure having a woman point out your errors over and over again?

It is a very sub type behavior. A strange version of enjoying having your ass spanked?

Simon hun,

Listen carefully... The discussion is for people whose banks issue them credit cards. It applies to pay at the pump stations.

If you give the nice man in the store money why would he care who you are and if you are trying to commit credit card fraud?

Got it? How could anyone miss it?

IT ONLY APPLIES TO PEOPLE WHO HAVE CREDIT CARDS

:)

just asked a bunch of american friends of mine that i have known for a little over 7 years. a couple said not at all in their state. one said when he uses his credit card yes but only at the pump. if he pays with his card inside he doesn't. none of them have to give a zip code when using cash under any circumstance.

1 state of the 10 that responded has to give his zip code at the pump with a credit card. 1 state out of the 10 that responded to the question. none of the states i have been to ask me at the pump for my postal or zip code with a credit card.

I really do not care Simon. Those of us living in the 21st century and enjoying the conveniences like paying for our gas at the pump need to get a US Zip Code if we want that convenience.

It is part of life.

If you are willing to sacrifice convenience and go into the store, who the fuck cares?

I you want to keep a wad of cash to pay things who cares?

What I said was accurate. And you and your cash paying friends do not really have much impact on people visiting LA, San Francisco, Las Vegas, Miami, NY and Boston.

As a matter of fact even the NY gov is moving towards the same system.

So are you going to keep arguing in order to prove you like to argue?

It appears very early on, when dating, if the girl can cook or not. It is at this point that one has to make a decision on whether her cooking abilities, or lack of thereof, should be a problem down the road. If it is, then bail before things get too involved.
On a personal note, I love to cook and used this to my advantage while dating. Reversing the roles plays wonders when impressing a lady who doesnt know which side of a pan goes onto the stovetop. Self taught and had the Food Network as my default channel before the network morphed into the "food travel and competition network." In current situation I am blessed cause my wife is a fabulous cook and has introduced me to many different food types and cooking methods due to her Philipina heritage. To touch on another topic from OP some parents/moms are clueless (or dont care) what they feed their kids. Sad but true......

OK, question:

You can have one of two identical twins as your SO.

One earns next to nothing but can and will cook for you.

Her sister pulls in unprofessional wages, say $120,000 a year and can afford a house keeper.

Who would you pick?

Hi. Billing or address of record? Buying gas at many US pumps requires you to enter a US postal code. That is I think called an Address of record.

I used to have a US Currency Master Card issued by the Bank of Montreal. Billing was to my Canadian address but the address of record was a Hotel in Miami. Cost $35.00 a year to Master Card.

I do not understand the need for a US billing address.

Oh you cannot get one if you declared bankruptcy or have a terrible credit rating.

:)
Some business in the states will not ship goods ( let you order ) if your credit card does not have a US a billing address even if the goods are being shipped to a US address . For example , Rapala USA and Fleet Farm , Home Depot USA . Hence the need for a US billing address.

Many will let you order and will ship to any US address even if you use a Canadian Credit card but not all . That's the problem . I need to get a US credit card that shows a US billing address but really that bill will come to my home address .

Looks like I'll have to check with Bank of Montreal and see if I can get one of those credit cards . Real billing to my home address but address of record will be my US address

I buy gas in the states with my Canadian Tire Master Card and never had to punch in any codes , postal or zip code . Are you saying that now a Canadian Credit card is no good in the US . Nobody in Canada with a Canadian address has a zip code in the US .

you said that i don't have to enter my zip cuz i got a card then you said i have to enter my zip cuz i got a card. so i am not sure which to believe from you. i do both, i pay cash and card, both are easy and i never have to give a zip code either with my card at the pump or at the counter. my cash paying friends also use cards.

one of my friends who said that he never has to enter his zip with a card or not at the pump lives in LA, has a house on the ocean and a net worth a little over 50 million.

when i am san francisco and driving a personal vehicle, i have to pre pay either with a card or cash, that is state law, i never enter a zip.

2 very close friends who both have houses on the ocean live in florida. both retired at 45 and made enough that 4 generations of the family don't have to work. all pay with cards at the pump and never enter a zip.

friend in virginia works for one of the largest firms in the state and country. he enters a zip at the pump but not when using his card for the same purchase at the counter.

friend of mine works in silicon valley in northern california. also does not need a zip to get gas on his card.

you are the one arguing with personal experiences of others.

i pay for gas at the pump quite often and never have to enter a zip. would the corporate card not need the same kind of identification ? i would think so. perhaps you are confusing a zip code with a pin number.

what you said is not accurate according to people who live it and do it.
