Hopefully with my face in a pussy
Too many times I've had to bite my tongue and ignore something, or pussyfoot around an answer. The reason is that I've done a fair bit of writing, and made a few media appearances, often discussing much of the stuff we cover on here. If I gave the answers I wanted to give, and someone has read my writings or encountered my media work, they could put 2 and 2 together and identify me.

Anyone else in a similar situation? I have little doubt that there are others here with a lot more public exposure than me.

I think many of us have felt that way and I know for a fact that many of the men I have met on this board are experts in their respective fields, they often do not reply to posts despite feeling more than a little frustrated by the information that is being put forth but they do not want to draw attention to themselves and let their superhero identities be known. ;)

I try to follow the old adage..if you have nothing nice to say, don't say anything at all. I find myself biting my tongue all the time but I would rather not tarnish my image or start a war. Besides, there's enough confrontations on this board without me adding to it.

It is possible that if you have a high public profile as a writer, and a distinctive style, some one might one day be able to search for such particulars and find connections between terb writings and public ones. I do sometimes choose not to use particular turns of phrase, because people who know me might well recognize them. I'm not particularly worried as I don't have a public profile and I don't really worry about being found out - I can live with being who I am. I am careful, however, to make sure that what I write here really represents the way I feel, because even if the possibility is remote, I want my views to be clear on the matters I discuss here. I want to be able to say "Yeah, I see beautiful women whom I pay, but theses writings represent how I deal with that, and how I feel about the people I meet. I maintain that I have a healthy and happy life doing this, and if you don't like it, YOU are the one with the problem."

Probably not all that high, but I have delusions of grandeur.

Major concern of mine, sometimes it seems that there are only a few ways to express an idea clearly and briefly.

So what you're doing here is the 'ignore' defence? When 'you' say something others disagree/take offense/ gag on for it's idiocy, then you're simply looking for validation to just not respond?

I have been ID by my writing before. Luckily it turned out for the best and I now have my SO because of it, but there are other times when yes, I bite my tongue {believe it or not} to refrain from being known. Most in my personal life know about this line of work, but my main stream professional life, they don't know about this. A lot of designers and photographers are looked down upon for being this type of field. I have done tons of work for non-profits including photographer and site design for free. I have to watch that things don't cross simply because I don't want to cause an issue for a place that is doing good the community. The stigma with this industry floats even if you are not a hobbyist or Escort. It is sad really, but I feel ya.

It would be much more exciting if you join in the confrontations.
