The Battle of Ontario ? Sucked.

Please ! No one on either team make sure not have too much contact. Could they have at least pretend it meant sonething more then just another game.

Looks like the Leafs have lost that road magic and Kessel and JVR were not clicking at all tonight.
Good effort by Ottawa. Leafs did not deserve anything in that game.

Leafs 5 Sens 1.
Opps wrong again

February 23, 2013
Binghamton Senators 3
Toronto Maple Leafs 2
:hand:
As for Leaf fans in ScotiaBank Place. Publically trying to what? Ban them? It was a stupid idea from a publicity point of view. Personally, it doesn't bother me as many Sens season ticket holders are making thousands of dollars off idiot Leaf fans who will pay insane amounts of money to see their team. Since they have no chance to see the Leafs at the ACC due to all the suits and fatcats they must resort to paying 300% scalpers prices in Ottawa, Detroit, and Buffalo. Sometimes I even feel sorry for them. Paying that much to see the Leafs? What a waste of money.

It's was an honest mistake. With Anderson out, I expected a 3-1 win tonight, and was very disappointed.
People always are when their team loses. When the Sens lose to the Leafs I feel like vomiting.

As for Ottawa ticket holders making a killing off Leaf fans, its a sad reality. I wouldn't go as far as calling them idiots though.
But they are. Buying a $69 ticket for $300? Completely insane

On a couple rare occasions like seeing the TSO (Trans Siberian ) I have paid large on ebay for front row because its a very rare treat to myself.
Thats very different. Paying to see a band or special event is different from paying to see a regular sporting event. I paid waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay to much for my girls to go see Bieber/Gomez last year. And yes I felt like an idiot.

None the less, the lockout still bugs me, and would not watch one game live even if free, nor buy one offical item of clothing this yr. Its a TV only season. I do respect you feeling over the snub to fans.
You aren't alone and if more people felt that way instead of flocking back to their arenas maybe something would change but lets be honest that would never EVER happen in Toronto where there are too many people willing to pay whatever amount to get in.

WTF Scrivens??? Why did he hold onto a puck with very little time left with NO PRESSURE from an Ottawa player. He lost that game in the last minute by doing that. :frusty:

Hindsight is 20/20 but I still don't understand why Bozak or Steckel didn't take the face-off. Anyway, the Leafs are still allowing too many SOG (35 last night). Can't always rely on your goalie to steal the game for you when you are consistently outshot.

Leafs should win this game, but that is when you sometimes get a nasty surprise.

Leafs 5 Sens 1.
The Sens are a well coached never give up type of team.

Any team that sleeps on them is making a big mistake.

And that is just exactly what the Leafs did last night.

Scrivens rebound control needs some work as well.

I'm praying that these two teams can meet in the playoffs and that the Sens can kick their ass.

It's not hindsight Rock, it's hockey 101 and Scrivens knows that you don't freeze a puck with no pressure to have a defensive zone face off. Bad judgement on his part and his inexperience shows. Even his D men should have been urging him to keep it in play.

I would have put Bozak out there for the faceoff.

Leafs in Philaelphia tonight.

Flyers have not been good this year ... so far.
Leafs really need this to bounce back from Saturday night.
I expect Scrivens in goal for the Leafs and for Philly maybe Bear Bryzgalov.

Go Leafs !

Yes, I wonder what Randy Carlye was thinking. Even if Bozak was tired, could have called a time out (or were they out of time outs)? Or, were the Leafs not allowed to make an on ice personnel change because they were the visiting team?

I think the Leafs are showcasing Gunnarsson. He is not a Carlyle type of player.
They may move Liles also.
I know they would love to move Komisarek, but he more likely to be a buy out at season's end.

Gardiner will eventually be ready to return to the Leafs.
I think they are looking to add another D-man.

Gunnarsson has really disappointed me.
I thought he would have been much farther ahead in his development, he's seems to have regressed.

Reports I've heard is it's a situation that will last the rest of the season.
I'm not sure if surgery will be required then, or simply rest will allow it to heal to 100%.

The TSN guys said that Carlye has said he should have put Bozak out there (even though it was his weak side) and/or called a timeout.

These are the kind of games the Leafs must win. They are not going to score more than 3 non-empty net goals in very many games. Held Philly to 25 SOG. I love Kadri's "airmail" passes.

Leafs get the bounce back win !
Kessel scores ! Need more of that.
Scrivens was good and lucky that the Flyers missed the rebounds.
Kadri was very good. Nice pass on the Kulemin goal.

24 points in 20 games ... I read that is the exact same amount as last year at the same point ... They must avoid disastrouses collapses or long streches of losing streaks . This team seems to be different though .. Did anyone else notice that a Leaf is the leader in +/- in the league .
