You should head on down to Zellers and get a suit for 70% off and show those nasty dandies at Zet's the next time you go there that you are a paying customer and not just a guy asking for left overs. I think it has more to do with the confidence one exudes, I do not wear suits and I never get treated badly.

Yes, but if that was his intention he seems to succeed quite often. Like tonight at Zet's and the other time at the airport.

he is dying and on 2 canes. he is not to good with a shovel. family friend for 40 years and i felt like i didn't much have a choice in the matter. as for those guys i didn't say they were at fault for anything, i just find it odd people still judge on appearance.

you will be judged by every one, right or wrong is not the point, it's just reality. The scary part is that most people will access you, again, right or wrong, in 1/10 of a second.

right or wrong doesn't apply. stick to your lies. always believe your own bs. cause right or wrong never really matters. even when people say it matters. it really doesn't. (basically what jiiimmm said)

Once I saw a family walking out of a restaurant, they looked ordinary, and then a scary thing happened: they got into a new Bentley. I totally misjudged them.

I'm not trying to justify judging people. Not at all, I'm just saying that it's a reality whether we like it or not and that it will happen within 1/10 of a second.

my statement backs up your statement. remember. right and wrong is conventional. everyone has their own version of right and wrong. people can discuss right and wrong for hours. (because everyone has a different version of right and wrong)

(heck. even genius philosophers spent years trying to figure out what is right and wrong)

perfect example:

is it right that kim kardashian is famous for accomplishing absolutely nothing worthwhile except a porn video? and now she has a billion followers on twitter due to her wedding. (see related thread) and she is now filthy stinking rich. for doing absolutely nothing. yet there are millions of very hard working people that are two paychecks away from being homeless.

just an example the power of beauty. beauty/appearances trumps everything else. hence being in a suit.

i was in zet's this evening picking up dinner. a guy in an expensive looking suit was sitting with his equally expensive looking suit friends. i walked in and he actually stopped chewing to look me up and down and rolled his eyes, then started to whisper at his friends who then all turned to look at me. then they started to laugh among themselves.

i was wearing beat up shoes, pants with snow to the knees, a jacket with a tear in it and my hair was messed up and it wasn't tied back as tight as it was. i had just finished shoveling the driveway of a man in his 60's who has been a friend of the family for 40 years, walks on 2 canes and was just diagnosed with 2 golf ball size tumors in his liver and will probably not live to see the summer.

where i was isn't really important to the story, it is just amazing to me that in 2013 people still get judged on how they look and if you think you have money all of a sudden you are better than someone else.
Walk up to this guy, from behind and say

"Excuse me miss, but I'd like to buy you a drink . . . oh sorry dude, you looked like a woman from behind"

Make them judge you by how dangerous you seem instead. They'll think twice about whispering to each other like schoolgirls. :)

I think there's a more important factor involved than what you were wearing, simon482

From late November:
i have cut portions for meals. try to eat breakfast everyday but miss at least half the time. normal lunch, normal dinner. i have been on a blt kick lately, love me a good blt. i have been doing exercise with resistance bands 30 mins a day when i am on the road. when i am at home i have a 20 pound weight that i use 2x 30 mins a day.

anyway with the portion reduction and weight lifting i started to lose weight and got down to something i was happier about but still had another 50 to go. now for some reason my weight is going back up now. my stomach is still smaller like it was when i was at the better weight but my weight is still going up.

any idea's why that might be ?
I have a pretty good idea now why your weight is going back up. Stay away from calorie-dense restaurant take-out foods simon482! Get back on the diet plan.

Here are some tips:

1. you can't control what other people will do and, son, there are some crazy/dumb motherfuckers out there.

2. Be comfortable in your own skin.

3. Who gives a fuck what other people think? Live right, do good, and you can hold your head up high cuz you know what you're about.

Men are weird. You chose to dress a certain way and then pretend you e shocked people look at you and respond to the way you look. But people are responding as much to your choices as they are to the appearance. I learnt when I was 14 that men respond differently to me depending what I chose to wear.

It applies to men. If you advertise "I am a bum" by your choices of course people will assume you are a bum.
